The B-School Debate - To B-School or not to B-School ? - If this is your dilemma, consider this : a good B-School program could give you an edge over those who are learning things the long, hard way. "Even if you are in the Business Environment and have grown up in one, an MBA gets you closer to the Professional World."

One can also improove his/her talent through learning. There is nothing wrong if one choose MBA to boost career. Even you have so much of talent but no body will care if you dont have the basic qualification for a job. As per my experience I have talent but each time when I go for any Interview they satisfy with my opinions but when we discus about salary etc. they looks for a higher degree.

MBA does contribute towards Career Growth. I myself have done MBA and can see an edge over others who have not done. MBA is a base for management skills, analytical skills and decision making skills. So its just not another degree.

An MBA degree may open up some rare opportunities that were not quite available before. Further, when one obtains an MBA and joins any organization of his choice, his employer will appreciate that he is serious about advancing his career and will not hesitate to offer him higher positions of responsibility.

I completely agree with Ms. Sheetal. MBA is an education that can bring a step towards the growth of your educational achievement but real knowledge comes from the work experience. Being in this field for more than 4 years, i have got to know that Education makes the difference bt work knowledge is your property that can be utilized by any hiring company.

Definitely MBA contribute to career growth. It give so many management concept, even help in to execute practical strategy. If you will analyse the supplement news paper brand equity (Economic times), in back page column "Marketing mantra" 95% executive, ceo, brand manager, marketing manager etc. are MBA from reputed institue (Mostly IIMs). No doubt, in today's due to growth of MBA student or unemployment MBA candidate, company's negative mind etc. people's mind are also became negative perception. Company is not lstning MBA, they ignore. This is fact and i have seen many place. Not only company even candidate or student are also expect high against their low talent. They expect and feel themselves high because they are MBA.So bothside perception are like this. Actually, if any fresher MBA candidate are try to get practical knowlede, free practical project, aware with lates market update, etc. Company and candidate feel, this is real MBA.....

Jack Welch the former CEO of General Electric in his enlightening book, "Straight from the Gut" points out that an MBA degree is worth it only to get entry into a good organisation. Once that hurdle is behind you, Man its your innate KSA(Knowledge, skill & ATTITUDES). Its a jungle out there...... survival of the fittest.
