We can not simply tell tht it is not safe. If it is not safe, it is our mistake also. We register in too many accounts, give mobile numbers there and from then it gets connected to another link and we get many mails in our inbox or many calls/messages in our mobile. Now regarding the password hacking, we should always make sure that we change our passwords on a regular basis to ensure privacy and security. Regards, Anna George. Web Analyst. Breaches of our personal information like password or mobile numbers will happen in two contexts. 1. Service Providers who has access to our information disclosing or not properly guarding it. 2. Our use of information without proper security measures. Point 1: Service Provider: The Information will be safe if government enables punishable laws for breaches and Mandatory testing of security measures [ like ethical hacking the new softwares & other IT infrastructures used by them to provide the service. Point: 2 Personal use of Information depends on our measures of protection. In analogy, We bought the land and not building the compound to protect the boundaries as cost cutting measures is an invitation of encroachment. As one of the friend complained that neighbors are accessing house by duplicate keys and using computer, The solution is first to change the locks and enforcing a strong password to computer. Even today most Home wireless connections are accessible without password. A good mobile with Wi-fi connection search is sufficient for breach. Publishing mobile numbers on facebook without profile privacy also a similar invitation. Having said all above, we should also understand that value of security should not be more than value of asset. So it depends on how much value you decide for privacy counts. Let's not also forget that 'No Technology is safe in front of determined hacker' So the privacy depends on how much value we give for our privacy and how much value our government puts for our privacy.

interesting debet..Being an ethical hacker and information security analyst i believe that everything is has some vulnerable to the hackers we should take care of the things like mobile numbers and passwords, we should follow some web security approaches, mostly hackers find the loop holes in the target system or victim, hence we should hide all these vulnarabilities from the hackers, now a day everything is going to be a security issue, i mean it that every one have to have the awareness about the security breaches ..and thiere impacts on the personal life ..

100% safety is not possible from hacking. One good example which i read: "when anyone construct home,he/she will make atleast one gate to enter into home. So if he/she can enter and any other also can enter."

If somebody really wants to hack our mobile number or password it may not be difficult for the hacker to do so.

Nothing that lurks in the web is safe today - not even your identity. If you are caught in the world wide web, you are in for a surprise from lusty watchful eyes who are ready to rape you of your information for their use.

No it is not safe. All files stored in "ftp" can be used by them or even sold to others. For storing your information, it is their revenue.

Every user in public domain is termed as "lead" and the companies who offers you free access to their site, think that they have every right to sell your information to the Advertisers! We need a tough law to handle "such unsolicited advertisements and unsolicited calls by mobile companies"!
