Migration to urban area by the poor may be helpful on monetory basis and at the same time there would be more expenses. at teh same time Every one cannot migrate to the urban regions. Its an age old practise by human beings. thus we find Tribal hamlets which are difficult to be reached even today. Honestly, resources to get spoiled are more in Urban areas when compared to rural lives. I was born and brought -up in Suburbs of a major indian city and had my education in Remote location where we had to adjust with a jar of water for our days need. If rural areas are deveoped with basic needs like food storage, education, power, livelihood and cottage industries which donot spoil the rural atmosphere is more enjoyable and the need of the day. Growth or development shouldn't mean that availability of Liquor and burgers. By any means Tradition and culture had to be kept alive.

If we talk about migration taking into consideration the poors, it is certainly helping the poors. In India a large number of rural folks migrate to urban cities in the hope of getting any employment.Migration helps them to expose to better lifestyle and better(quality) consumption of products. Migration is helpful especially to the children of these people for they have access to better educational facilities.

As the topic states it will help the poor. It is a different matter that it brings problems for management of Urban life. The influx is a drain on the resources of cities and cost of living increases in urban areas. The migrants do suffer from the hardships of town life and add to their misery if they move to Metros or major towns already overflowing with a heavy influx of rural folk. The greed for earning more and becoming rich overnight drives most rural folk to such glittering places. Those who choose a nearby urban location and possess skills generally required for common jobs such as carpentry, masonary and such other trades can earn enough money to survive and support their dependants. They can commute from their village homes and do not over-burden the towns with the influx. They bring about awareness to others in the village and help in social upliftment. Travelling through the major state highways I have found major changes in the villages located on the main routes. I have seen a marked difference between the state of the villages in the remote areas and those well connected with towns.

IT REALLY HELPS. AS THERE IS ALWAYS A LEARNING CURVE IT TAKES LOT OF TIME TO GET ACQUAINTED WITH THE NEW ENVIRONMENT. PLEASE NOTE THAT IN ANY INDUSTRY TRAINING IS CONSIDER TO B PROCESSING LIKE THAT WHO EVER GET MIGRATED TO URBAN THE ENCOUNTERS WILL TRAIN HIM AND HE WILL B PROCESSED AND GET HIMSELF PROCESSED FOR ANY EVENTUALITIES.

Not only India every sensible society agrees Rural to Urban shift can only cause huge problems. It helps no one in long term. It is just that in our case we are more concerned about the individual self even while planning, governing or providing for.Hence with power being centered in cities the percolated remnants reaching rural India are abysmally dismal ......hence happens the migration for survival.

It does not help. The normal reason people from rural areas migrate is either loss of land to corporates , because of which they are deprived of a source of livelihood , or natural reasons such as drought which force them to seek a living in urban areas. When people come to cities , they are mostly landless and illiterate to start with and the kinds of jobs they can get will be menial jobs. With such a beginning , it will take more than a generation for them to come out of poverty.

Looking for greener pasture is always a trend. But, why do not we plan a prosperous greener one close to their living. Business concerns need to satallite their activities to the rural. Core activities at the Urban is to be supported by the Rurals. The rural & urban balance is to be maintained without loss of economy to either of them. Infrastructures enabling poors to survive on their soil is to established so that, they fend themselves without migrating to urban that causes so many eco-sociological problems.

Rural to Urban migration wont help poor, they must find solutions for their problems at their place. And only after proper social and economic infrastructure this can be done. Migration is not the solution.Migration will absolutely help some poors but wont help all poors, and we all know that in rural area there are more poor peoples than urban.

save japan, save egypt so on and so forth, what does it give at the end of it. if you take into consideration of the indian markets it is adding misery to the indian conditions mainly due to no proper infrastructure and other facilities for people to be in the vicinity of governement allocated properties, with most of the illegal occupancies it is all the more fragile with not much of longitivity, overall if you consider it gap between the living conditions and non living conditions is on a severest of nature. so world is going through that depression thats been still not looked into by the authorised authorities.
