Does social networking make celebrities, less like celebrity?

Today we heard that Wayne Rooney ws involved in a twitter row.. some time back a couple of girls had sent hate tweets to his wife.. It has become so easy for people to get in touch with celebrities that have lsot the special charm they had. I remember as a kid I had once obtained Madhuri Dixit's phone number and had called up once just to discover that her secretary answered the phone and the lady did not speak to people she did not know.
With social media coming into picture things have become so simple... What do you think about this?

There is no charm left and day by day we come to know the real faces behind the fces we admire. This exposure anyways doesnot make us feel good..

YES, WE HAVE BECOME DIEHARD FANS OF THESE BOLLYWOOD DIVAS AND THEY JUST CARE A HOOT, SIMPLY THROW THEIR TANTRUMS, OBLIVIOUS OF OUR ADMIRATION FOR THEM.  

ALL THESE GLAM DIVAS FLAUNT THEIR LIVING STYLE NOT ONLY IN REAL WORLD BUT IN VIRTUAL WORLD TOO.  AND HER SECRETARY WHAT HE REASONED THAT "SHE DOESN'T TALK TO A PERSON WHOM SHE DOESN'T KNOW", CERTAINLY MAKES ONE FEEL DISAPPOINTED.  

EVEN IN NEW YEAR'S BASH WHICH WE TREAT IT AS GALA TIME AND WE TEND TO BECOME PARTY ANIMALS AND GROOVE TO THEIR LATEST HITZ TILL WEE HOURS.  WHO CARES!!
