Although technology lessened the physical burdens of productive activity, until recently only a small sector of society had the opportunity to engage in activities that broadened their minds.  That changed fundamentally with the growth of information technology.  Although the media such as print, radio and television improved the communication of ideas, it was distinctly one way, with little or no opportunity for involvement.  People simply received whatever was broadcast.

How often have you heard from some official or other, in response to a query regarding an invoice or bill, that the computer has done the calculations and it is always right and what's more there is very little the official can do about it. The computer is in control.

Yes people started depending on technology fully and this has resulted in impoverishing their minds. Day by day by people think how to use the technology to lessen their thinking power.......

So for simple things we should use our minds which can keep us more active and bright !!

you can not change or improve the ability of mind. This innovative thing we can not force but it comes obvious. and IT is just a platform to use skill but not to improve skills.

i am totally with. technology makes our thinkin very narrow and simply can think straight.

we try and complicate evry bit of things wn the actual solution lies in the very simple thinkin.

today many ppl r required who think out of the box and not necessarily wit too much of techological advancmnt up his sleeve.

its time for global perspective wich is at most times clouded by technology. ppl dont try and think out of the ordinary or are too scared of makin a fool out of themselves by being innovative..

I totally disagree.. I don't think so that technology impoverish the mind. Human used there mind to develop the technology. And i think every technology needs our mind for improvement..

No,In this compatative world technology use only for bussiness purpose,It builds only professinals mind. if you come out this era acuttaly you will find what does your mind want,so technology is the way who can build only your knowldge and personality a little bit mind but not perfectly mind because mind always connected with your heart sound .

No not at all.It depends how we are taking it. Recently i read, a young girl from Gujarat(sorry i forget the name) became world champion in Vaidik Mathematics. She had solved many complicated digital mathematics calculations with her presence of Mind and that to with a speed higher than calculators?

One has to use technology for his convenience and betterment but blindly should not become slaves of Technology. As simple as when our car is not working we are making other arrangement for travel.

Simply i don't able to understand why Technology means I.T. technology only? So many Medical,Chemical, Electrical,Agricultural, innovations has made our life easy and healthy but unfortunately we are not taking not of this.

But in recent years with the advent of the internet, knowledge has been democratised and it is now possible to be well-informed about any subject you choose without having to spend time and money on a course of study.  Access to news from any country in any language is available at a click, and news aggregators allow us to follow stories with little or no effort.  We can study any subject through the online availability of educational resources, and we can make use of the experience of millions of others in informing ourselves at a time convenient to us.

But more than ever, the internet encourages involvement and participation in the process of forming our own minds and personalities.  Like never before, we can encounter a wide range of opinions and beliefs, cultures and backgrounds from all over the world.  We can test opinion, examine our own attitudes and beliefs, engage with and listen to others who would otherwise have been invisible to us.  And we can make our own views heard giving us an unprecedented opportunity to express ourselves through a variety of media.
