Unfortunately yes! Though the film don't glorify these things(Otherwise they will be censored) but they really provide new ideas. We have example of Munna Bhai MBBS, only after a few days when the movie was released some students were caught cheating in examination in the same way wearing earphones which the Hero did in that movie.I can give you many more!! There are only some movies like "Chak De India"which shows that it needs hard work and dedication to be a Hero, others just show glamour and provide dreams not hoe they are achieved.Teenagers of 16-18 are not matured enough to understand that its only for entertainment. Sometimes they take it seriously. Some bad things things shouldn't be shown, instead they should be corrected.

Shipra good points, I support you. Ragging is been happening everywhere and this movie is not going to initiate it. It was just added for fun and was also not offensive. So just watch and enjoy the movie friends. :)

Ragging is an age old "parampara" and "3 idiots" is just born. Movies usually show what is already happening. People here are talking as if, if the movie has not included the ragging scenes, people watching the movie would not have known what ragging is or it still happens in colleges, big b schools, universities, etc..... Instead of taking the message home that life and studies is far beyond books alone some people seem to have taken home the message that the ragging shown in the movie would have an adverse effect... I don't think it can get more funnier here!! We have not had a movie such great in a very long period. The movie is made to almost perfection. It is better to have fun watching this great movie rather than pointing out things which are not even relevant.....

ohh common...i dont feel that its promoting ragging , itz just a movy- watch and enjoy it people.ragging has been going on from long and i think a film is not needed to keep the fuel ignited...ragging is inevitable.

No, i don't see anything in this movie that promotes such as ragging. In fact, i feel this should be an example to those who get into ragging others and don't realize to what extent that would lead to. The good should be taken and not the bad. Every movie has good and bad scene which directly or indirectly is affected to the general audience but why every time the bad is highlighted and not good. This movie is an excellent way to show the Management and those parents who really don't know to what extent their words can affect their children. ...... Thank you, Manish N Cheers!!

No certainly not.Do you want to mean that before releasing '3idiots' there was no such concept of ragging? Then we should feel proud to have such film maker and simultaneously we should agree that we people are of without brain,we actually are influenced by movies, rather our life and lifestyle depends on those.is'nt it?

It indeed is rediculous to debate on such trivival issue. An incident is shown in a movie, keeping in view the over all storyline.....how can one even jump to discuss such things? If we conclude logically, it simply means that we can not show anything in the movie without being judged. As a matter of facts in most of the movies the romantic relationshps are shown to lack anykind of deapth....should we say, films are promoting promiscuous relationships or glorifying rapes or promoting villains? It sounds funny but in most of the movies, villains seem to be winning and getting away with rapes and murders till the last scene...then how do we interprete it? Someone in government does not know the meaning of movies. It is shown as part of graduation process and even if we look at it myopically, it does not "promote" ragging but make us take it in very light and affirmative manner.....Movie making is going to be a frightening exercise........!
