I read an interesting article in the Economic Times today about students who do MBA's right after graduation. The writer points out that students who do an MBA right after graduation are not in a position to fully understand the practical application and context of the theory that they learn during an MBA. I have always supported this view. How can one be a 'Master of Business Administration' without having experience in business administration at all. I have always believed that you will only get maximum value out of an MBA if you pursue it after at least a few years of professional experience. Join in the debate. Thank you for your input in advance Regards, Om Deshpande

I totally agree with OM, because this s something that i am actually going through. students who join MBA right after their Bachelors, MBA is  just another step towards academic excellence. they are not in a right position to analyse the practicality of the subjects/theories that are being taught. the application of these is still a question mark for such students.

MBA is one such course where lot of practicality is required. just learning stuff, putting it down on a paper and getting marks does a lot of good only in the boundaries of the university, but does not help when we get into the job.
