No domination will lead to lack of coordination between senior and subordinate which will create a negative impact on whole environment and there will be lack of communication between the sales team and the management and the result will be less productive .And this will lead more attrition which almost every sales organisation faces .

No dominating will not help you to lead the team. This will create misunderstanding among the team will will decrease the performance. So need to be a leader but not dominating....

As per my experience in Sales , I have analyzed that only on the basis of Motivation and appreciation you can not achieve your Business Objective. for leading the team one must posses dominating kind of leadership(in management terminology , Autocratic Style of leadership) in terms of managing Business Partner as well as a field force.

What I believe is, a Marketing person should always have a dominating approach towards his work rather than being the dominating team member. I mean he should always try to dominate his work, not his behaviour with the colleagues.He should take most of the leads himself & then help other in working on those and always be able to explore some uncovered aspects of marketing. Sales and marketing is all about your confidence which you carry with you all the time & your ability to influence others, by attracting them towards your promises & sayings.

Not accepted. Domination can help you manage things apparently for very short period. The permanent & long term solutions are a band of other qualities & activities - the leader to be one step ahead in knowledge & performance, capable to plan effectively for the team, keep team motivated - assure others of getting their rating, return & rewards according to performance - evaluate individual’s performance correctly & extend proper guidance & physical assistance when required. Make your team feel that you are standing for their guidance & help – all they need to do for you, for themselves & for the organization are to be sincere & dedicated for achieving the goal. The more the environment is disturbed and made unfriendly, so dominance creats distance among team mates, attitude of sharing and friendliness will be out and sens of hiding and internal clashes and a sens of putting others down will grow.
