Delhi Police made one of its biggest drug hauls in recent years while probing the nexus between international drug smugglers and militants. The cops arrested Ram Naresh, a Delhi-based smuggler, with 250kg of Ephedrine and Amphetamine tablets worth over Rs 200 crore.
These tablets were to be sent to Myanmar and China through Guwahati and are used for preparing ecstasy and other drugs for sale in parties. Ephedrine is in high demand in China!!
Drug business is going strong . What are we doing? On one hand we have scams and corruption and on other hand we have incident s like this. Then we talk about becoming the biggest economy! Do you think we can do that if the current situation persists?

I doubt, how do we expect to progress.. Through wrong means? If all this money was white would not we have been the largest economy by now? Is there any possibility of being on the top with such a termite-destructed base ??

These drugs are not only used by the people who are addicted but also in high profile parties by educated high class people. These case mostly start in metro cities and from there it spreads into tier-II and III cities. Strong law and punishment for those involved in it. We only come to know about the drug cease what happens after that, where that drug goes also the prosecution time is 10-25 years so it goes out of people's mind.

Unscrupolous people will always be there, who'll take the advantage of loose administration. The onus, especially in Medicine matters, lies entirely on Drug Administration to have effective control of the RMs related to manufacture of such drugs for addiction. The rise in Pharma Manufacturing units in several states, especially the recent spurt in Northern part of India, has made the control of respective Drug Administration further weaker.
