if that job is deals with fresher they consider good education, else if that is deals with professionals, obviously they go with experienced candidates.

Well well well...this question am sure is paradoxical but at the same time relevant in today's dog-eat-dog world. You cannot leave either of them while considering a good candidate. They are both two sides of the same coin. But to make things easier for any selection process, usually you consider education for freshers and experience + education or just experience for experienced candidates. But nevertheless, as I said it is paradoxical to answer such type of questions, I preferred to be on this side of the debate, simply because, I am experienced and not a fresher.

No probabilities can be considered in a Pro'line. Education is a means but not a profession. Profession is not a means, it is an expertise. Experience is a parameter. Reasonable intution considers with the relative workman ship which could be in academic or even as a profession. So, I think workman-ship is considered coz, an experienced teacher cant get into a comapny as a manager and a merit in science will not go to sociality. If this happens, it is possible that some other parameter is considered. Finally I conclude my argument as it might be education or experience being considered, it is delicate if the workman ship is not there

Experience should be the foremost category while screening a candidate as it reveals the expertise & knowledge of a candidate in a definite field of work which the interviewer is looking for.But as per all our industry standards & HR policy, a requisite education like Graduation or H.S.E. is needed for a specific job. But as a professional Guy in recruitment industry , I solemnly believe that if a candidate has worked and had proved his mettle in his past working ground about his quality & expertise about his definite job , he or she should be granted or screened as per his job performance not by his Certificates which is a list of authorized document.

i am agree with Srikanth that freshers should have sound educational background with enthusiasm to learn and grow whereas people with experience should be judged on their knowledge in the field/domain they r working in.

It is actually a matter of open position we are looking at.if it is for freshers, a company should consider his education as an important factor but if it is for laterals or to say any position other than freshers, relevant experience holds the key.Companies hire laterals not to brush their skills but to let such hired employees bring in new related job experience to be put in practice to enrich the company's existing scenarios.A moderate education can also provide relevant experience like a non-IIM can be better in management experience, it would cost less and be more useful.

In early times when there were no proper education systems, good managers, good workers do exist at that time also. Eductaion is only a systematic way of gaining knowledge to have a better experience. However when freshers are concerned then ofcourse the education factor counts.

I think Experience does matter, and education is just theoritical knowledge. Experience gives confidence, and experience always overcome if a person was not so strong while his school or college time..

As per me i would say as per experience because when your a fresher you need to look at the education even a incable guy can be the top in qualification hence experience wise he know what is hard work and how u need to do things
