I support you on this Nohar... Some how an interesting debate in between 10 point debates and ideates,...Studies have shown that people generally do not like to read an entire book on a screen, but they do like to have some idea of whether the book that they after is worth buying. The online resources are therefore stepping in as a kind of marketing or advertising tool for the books.

For me the question of whether eBooks will take over printed books seems highly unlikely atleast for the time being.....

People who all are supporting the Traditional books, just imagine how many trees are being cut to get the papers on which these books are getting printed, with E-books one is going green and interms of storage space in a single E-book you can store 100's of books, so now you tell me which is better....traditional or E-book for that matter......

Ebooks are very inconvenient to read. It's easy to carry a traditional book than an ebook. You can't lie down and read e-books, and you can't carry them everywhere you go. It's a nonsensical innovation.

e-books are really help full...but they can't replace traditional hard copies...

we can use them as reference but we can't just sit and start reading them like we do with hard copy...

and after all.. jo maja .. real hard copy me hai.. vo e-book me kaha...

i am a hard core computer user... and a comics book lover... i have lot of e-comics...but i prefer them to read in hard copy...

bcz jo maja real me hai.. vo computer me kahan...

FOR READING EBOOK WE HAVE TO SEAT INFRONT OF COMPUTER OR TAKE OUR MOBILE, IN MOST TIME WE THINK WE WILL READ IT LATER AND LATER IT WILL BE READED NEVER

Books or newspapers we do like to read them in physical form. Somehow, as many have commented here, traditional formats do appeal to us than the online ones. But that may be due to our familiarity. Its difficult to get used to new formats. Most likely, the e-books may co-exist with traditional books and the former's usage may increase with time as people get used to them. But for us, the traditional formats do remain the favorite.

Ms. Purvi,

Your point is very correct, but please let me know about your home furnishing items! Are they all made up of the material other than wood?

Are you using A.C. at home?

Are you using A.C.car?

Please pay attention to harm created to environment by using of A.C.!

I am very sorry about personal question.

& we have option of using recycled paper.& for your going green concept it is really good but still there is no sign of any initiative taken by govt in many sectors.

I support for traditional book. & views expressed by Manoj is very correct, as E-book required at least 3/4 necessary things, i.e system, seating arrangement, electricity. & you can't refer anybody's views on E-book but for traditional book, you can refer the views of critics.

I am in total agreement with Manoj on the subject. The only country where e book reading is practised is the schools of USA.

In India it will take at least five to six decades before e book is preffered compared to traditional book.

Thank u for for yr refrl Manojkumar. I fully support you on Nohar's debate on traditional books and e-books. starting from the radiation from computer there are many reasons for voting traditional books.

I prefer traditional book.. because to reading t-book computer/laptop is not required but to read e-book u need computer/laptop... and there are so many people who doesn't have computer/laptop with them.. so traditional book is more handy..!!

My support goes to Purvi Ghosh, Most of the time I am using computer. There are some points I want to share in this regard.

  • In E-book you can get lot of information.
  • There is no need to buy all the books for your requirement, which is not also.
  • We can carry all our E-books through PENDRIVE or any REMOVABLE DISK
  • You can search your query within minutes.
  • We can not carry all the books (traditional) to your work place as long as your home.
  • You can get the required information from E-book easily.
  • For our any query All over world is available if we prefer E-book. But which is not possible in Traditional Books.

Purvi I support your Idea, although its true that its a bit difficult to read an e-book but looking at our environment we must switchover to e-book now not only to protect the trees but also we will not nao have the problem of maintenance of books.

E-Book's require components like computer, laptop, i-pad, mobile phones which are costly today than Traditional Book which costs only for the book, but in coming days components cost less and also they provide many features like readers, markers etc. With I-Pad we can read lying on bed, while traveling.
