Every child has the right to education in India. The opportunity should not be equal but. There should be priorities and the priority should go for the studious people with a poor financial background irrespective to their caste, creed and sex. Ask like this "Right to Education or Right Education" Right education is quality education, which is required.

Folks, let us first try to implement "Right to education". Then aim for "Right to equal education". To all those who oppose reservation, please visit some backward areas and you will understand the need for the reservation. Ofcourse, those who should not use this reservation are using this concession (since they are economically well-off already) and this is to be plugged. Add economic criteria also as a factor to qualify for this concession.

Right to education is everyone's legal right in the world, but the concept of equal education is very hard to be implemented. This statement is because everyone has different qualities and talent, so everybody should be made professional in their field of interest and not equal education, because its now time of specialization.

The fact we have to accept that there are many poor people - they need attention. Ofcourse NO RESERVATION at all - but other facility like concession in fees etc. Yes and there should be NO SPECIAL TREATMENT based on cast, race-religion, community etc. Every body should be treated equally at par.

Right to equal education is best..if partiality has to b there it should be only in case of fee payment...otherwise admissions and employment should all be done on merit bases only..!!

hello Purvi, thanks for referral.you are right in your views but i feel, unless there is a strong political will nothing will happen pertaining to this field.it will not be enough for Govt.to provide free education to all but what next? how merit in each indivisual should be guaged and who should do it impartially? there are lot and lot of difficult to answer questions in front of us.atleast we should appreciate our leaders that they have made up there minds to bring a LAW like this.

FOR DECADES TOGETHER PROIORITY,CONCESSIONS AND WHAT NOT HAD BEEN GIVEN TO SOME PEOPLE IN THE NAME OF RESERVATION.AT LEAST FROM NOW ON LET EVERYONE BE TREATED ON PAR AND MERIT BE THE SOLE CRITERION BASED ON WHICH ANY KIND OF CONCESSION BE GIVEN TO EVERYONE WITHOUT ANY DISCRIMINATION.

Those who possess lots of money or take loan wisely will only get education because henceforth it is going to be an expensive affair !!!!

Enough is Enough! Not sure if quota system had helped the needy! But it has definitely let down the deserving students. I personally have seen abled students disappointed because of this! Education is education! Merit should be the only criteria and not caste, religion, color or race. Let the deserved, be it upper casete or a lower caste, get the best!!
