Education is just a step to earn money?

The purpose of Education is knowledge. The knowledge in turn can help in many ways one of them being to earn money to sustain the self defined satisfaction levels. One may as well use this knowledge to help the cohabitants and good causes, it is all individual's choice of making oneself useful.

One of the main reasons for India not able to invest in research is this mindset linking everything to money. "Money at best is necessary tool, never a Goal"

Education is not for money only for  knowledge,

Education is for getting knowledge. It is not just a step to earn money. Earning money is secondary. Without knowledge that man with money is a big zero.

its a  process.

Education-> knowledge->money

Education leads to knowledge.

Eventually Knowlegde leads for money.

Knowledge is a intermediate process , so we cant avoid it for any reason.

education is just a step to earn knowledge and to implement it in our day to day life to make our life better. if your knowledge is high you can easily earn money such as bill gates

Most surveys in Denmark show that the average expected income over a work life is higher if you choose not to take a long education. On the other hand a basic education is needed to get any income.

Education is often needed if you want to improve your social status in society. Today this ability to acheive a higher status seems to be connected to the people you meet and become friends with during your education that promote your career. It is also during your education you might learn how to behave around rich and influental people if you want to improve your status in society.

If you build a good network and keep it alive and learn how to use it in a mutually beneficial way, you might earn lots of money. Usually you will have to meet these people in closed social circles, like country clubs, political parties and other places where you can meet the people who can promote your possibilities.

Education is not a safe bet if you want to earn money.

Well, education could be one option to earn money of course - that's what we most of the professionals are doing, but if earning money becomes the only objective of education, the result would be disastrous I think. This kind of goal-setting is good to attract our educated youngsters into betting,internet freud and all as alternative professions I guess. 

Every individual must earn enough to meet his/her expenses and an educated person has the right to earn money of course. But education should create a concept of comprehensive development in an individual which would ensure not only an individuals monetary benifit but also contribute to other individual's/country's growth/ monetary benifit.

To be more precise, i would like to add that achieving the potential for creating white money/resource should be the objective of education, not only earning money for a comfortable living of an individual.

If it was not, It would be assimilated in the right way

Hello Bibha, I will not agree with you. First you learn by educating yourself. Money is coming secondrary only. Further knowledge will help you to teach others also which will give you satisfaction.

Throughout life we have changing priorities; education is the master tool for finding ourselves,,,,whether we want what & whats the purpose of we being here in this world!

It's a pity so many think money is the first goal.  With education you first get knowledge. Then knowledge helps you to behave properly and doing so you can earn money. 

No doubt," Education is a passport to Jobs". But ,it does not stop there. It enhances the quality of living among all the complexity of the world & help identify the right from the wrong, to lead a comfortable life.You can visualize the ancient living without education with present education levels.The kind of living we have & society developed is all due to the marvel of education. Also, help individual to learn continuously through various ways(passive & active learning).Education help people to attain a state of mind where every individual develop a skill to protect from others & help others.

This is a very good topic and it should be discussed in detail. The aim of education is to get the knowledge only. Animals are getting the bread without studying anything. There are so many industrialists whose study is very less than their employees. Yet they are getting more money. So Education is not just to get money. Money is the side product of Education.

Obviously knowledge and through knowledge the arm of becoming a noble human being. Money would necessarily follow as education also creates awareness, knowledge in a chosen area and commercial skill/s to earn money for livelihood. But that is only secondary. The Primary objective of education should invariably be the knowledge gathering and character building, The day money becomes the primary motive of getting education, the beging of the end of a society starts.

Money is a attraction this days students work hard being a book worm having no practical knowledge just bookish knowledge and gain marks. They forget that they are just number which wont matter after a point of time.

However the true attraction should be Knowledge.

As rightly said by someone (i dnt knw who) knowledge is wealth.

Actually both are not exactly corrects, real  meaning is survival in society, protct nature, leaning of love and humanity that makes wisdom. Education is understant others and himself. ...........

Pardon my remark but it is a fact that -There are several vocations where one can make much money and may not need education beyond being literate. So why study so much in first place. 

In fact I would go one step further , and say that education gives you much more than knowledge.

Most of the early inventors were not really educated , or they were self educated. So today's view of education where you go to school and then college is a very restrictive view of education.

In an earlier age , people used to travel to broaden their minds and acquire knowledge ; this was also called education.

Education should ideally teach you one or two things : think for yourself , think of others. Anything which does these two should be called education.

Thinking of education as a route to money is like looking at dance as a route to physical fitness !

The purpose of Education is Knowledge that gives us better values, Social behaviour and Maturity.

Jobs, Money, etc. follow, automatically, those who have better Culture.

Education results in aquiring a job and hence a natural process of making money.

There are instances where people inspite of little or no education have been successful in making heaps of money. Dhirubhai Ambani is an excellent example of the same. So I would not really put my finger on money.

I opt for knowledge. Any form of education be it schooling or college years or whenever you just do a google or even a wiki, it all adds in the compartment called KNOWLEDGE!!

As far as my concern education is for getting knowledge in the course of that will produce  returns as and when we required. If we perfectly loaded with education we know how to manage/behave in the society and what needs to be required for self and society with this we can give value to our education..

Education is about more than money and for that matter it is more than even knowledge Education when properly delivered and received is about values. It provides us with a means to exist as contributing members of society.
