we are going thru a era were computers have taken over lot of works which hitertho our inteligent people who could mug up and pass exams would do.today you name th esubject and the information is there.so you need not be educated to know what is what.you need to have only working knowledge of computers, and languages.you could be doing more then our post graduates who have certificates of pass.

because if you know to implement the knowledge you could achieve so much ,subject is there on the net.you need understanding and implementation.

unlike olden days were someone who had lot sof knowldege inside the brain was considered better then those who could not keep thing s in memory.

times have changed, the speed at which things are changing is tremendous.the exposure today is tremendous.there is so much on the subject you want easily available.visual education as in geography channel, animal kingdom.money ,profit, economic, general knowledge there is so much just available across channels and on internet.

how would we train our next generation to the new trends which are a matter of last five to six years and our education system is still stuck with lessons, books.mug up write exams.

Actually the problem is not with education in India but the style of teaching. Today's education has become completely professionalised and marks oriented. Students are so much bored with the pattern that they just mug up the contents, vomit in exam paper and forget it. Nobody studies them to learn something. Also, the amount of thing a student laerned is tested by how much theory he knows. These processes should be changed and students should be tested & trained upon how much they apply them in their practical life. This should be real motto of education not mugging terms. Also, learning process should be made interesting so that students don't avoid learning new things.

Sandesh, when you post a debate, it must have some substance. Posting a topic don't mean anything to the readers/viewers.

A word of advice, please edit the post and make the changes. Thank you.

hi sarika this is what i learned in school

might have forgot what i read in my sylabus in my school.i would never forget the following.

i learned to be disciplined,

i learned to devide the day in seven periods time management.

i learned to make friends socialising.

i learned to respect teacher and elders.

i learned goal setting.passing the exam.

i learned to go thru stress.you have to write your exam within the time

i learned seperation when a few of my friends would shift to another section.

i learned my languages.

i learned to be a good public speaker.

i learned my games.

i learned how to communicate properly.

i learned to share.

i learned to sit in a place for the entire time of school.

i learned there is punishment and stars for good and bad performance.

i learned my parent would know how i am performing.

yes all the above were never told to me that i was learning it was by default.this are just a few thing which i can attribute to my school apart from so many other thing which i learned in my school.

we are fast moving towards a era were knowledge is easyliy accessable.you do ot need to mug ,roat and write exams.we are moving to a era were some who would be able to implement the knowledge would be a winner.

today you have the eazee of access any knowledge sitting anywere with you ipods in hand.so it is no more the era of higly intelligent, who would remember things easily.it is a era of people who can use the knowledge and implement the sam ein our lives.

in this era of palm tops and ipods which can access to map,internet,email.dictionary.movies,any librabrary on the net.computer are being carried every were.

yes you have a point when you say in emergency..thats it..you will be something of last resort.so it is not knowledge in mind.it is how you can use it.

the other day i had experienced, people with ipods had better access to information when compared to people who had it in there mind.we were having a discussion on stones.someone was using his mental ability, and someone was using virtual library of information and was able to elobrate better.

in another instance we were discussing a meaning of word and the matter was settled by refering to dictionary on ipod.you have to notice this change and this will be more so in future we are just a step into it.

knowledge is accessable easily on net,it is sought out properly,is faster,is relaible if you know th eright source to access.

i have not said knowledge in mind is not useful,i have brought to front the changing scenario, the way things are changing and so rapid.

it is not about computer literate or against or for them.just open the windows and look at how differently things are perceived

I don't agree with this. No matter computer literates have lot of prestige, but still, in today's date also anybody who can keep lot of thinks in his memory gets more respect than an ordinary man. You cannot carry computer everywhere. But brain goes everywhere. In emergency conditions, where you don't have access to computers, only your brain helps you.

simple what are the changes we need seeing the present time were machines have taken over much of the jobs that human beings could do.

there is a tough competition between machines and humans for jobs.
