What does one what to achive with the 'EGO'- it is equivalent to edging god out of oneself. A person who is too very egoistic in nature looks and percieves life in a masked manner. When we perish or leave this body, we don't carry anything with us, the shell is broken so is ego. Ego is the outer cover of the body frame that one tries to hold on to in the consicious level.

The state of unconciousness of the real self keeps one in the state of ego. Srimad Bhagwat Gita largely deals with this subject. Ego lies when one is only aware of one's 'state' of existance and not the 'cause and purpose' of it. People who realise the 'casue and purpose' of human existance, exist in the world without bothering about 'retuns or benefits'. People who ignorantly think that the 'world's riches' must be amassed live under misguided indulgence and in complete state of 'ego' where they are influenced by the sense of 'possessiveness'. The sense of misery, fear of loss, anxiety etc plague their minds, keeps them from the state of 'peace and happiness'. If you have ego, what you possess belong to you; if you do not have the ego, everything that belongs to God belongs to you.

Ego is of two kinds, you all make your own theories or what? There is only one ego and it is the idea of I , me, mine, attachment and greed of the wrong I concept, Bec ur not the body, M, I!!! In that sense attachment to too much of a good thing is also an imbalance!!!

Ego is ones pursuit through behavior to meet the standards and objectives of the society he or she lives in. Extreme love for oneself is called Narscissm. One need not maintain ego to be successful for example the herding effect of students following their neighbours kids professional choice etc; without having any interest in it are examples of decisions that can create neurotics. One should be rational in decision making not egotic. Narcissm can lead a person to be Narscisst neurotic which is an extreme case of psychosis untreatable in psychology.

ego brings complasence & stops your moves further. Non openness to learning due to egoistic nature is harm for organisation which stops the growth. But i strongly believe that the ego is the line between confidence & overconfidence. so it is obvious that every individual must have confidence & openness in behaviours(learning+regular life) & should try to maintain his limits.

EGO is obvious and natural for human beings. Too much of ego or ego in everything becomes a point of discussion and criticism at times and forms as attitude.

Ego is very harmful for a person. i am is not ego i am is the self respect and i am and no other is there is called ego. only i am a good designer is a ego and i am a good designer and other can also be a good designer is not ego. So we should remove ego and also not sense of i but the sense of only I.

People keep saying to work without an ego, but that is scinetifically implausible. Because without an ego, there is no self, like without the reflection of the sun, there is no existence. How can u live with the knowledge that you are the original sun and not the reflection?? How can one work without ego and still not be walked upon? I feel the greatest achievers are the most egotistical. They have a huge fan following, are worshipped, followed, aped and put up on a pedestal. HOW does this contradiction play out, does anyone understnd??

MAN DIES, BUT EGO DOES NOT DIE.
EITHER A POOR OR RICH MAN WANTS HIS FUNERAL RITES SHOULD BE PERFORMED GRANDLY.
WHY DOES HE THINK SO? BECAUSE IT'S AN EGO, HE DOESN'T LET HIS REVERENCE DOWN EVEN AFTER HIS DEATH. (COMMENT EDITED)

Ego can be trained to true perception by choosing a discipline of inner self study. Ego feels it must always be right at the cost of making another wrong, where ego derives a sense of complacency by a judgmental attitude and projection of guilt unto others.

Id, ego and super-ego are the three parts of the psychic apparatus defined in Sigmund Freud’s structural model of the psyche; they are the three theoretical constructs in terms of whose activity and interaction mental life is described. According to this model of the psyche, the id is the set of uncoordinated instinctual trends; the ego is the organized, realistic part; and the super-ego plays the critical and moralizing role. Not possible. Even when you go to a temple, you tonsure your hair - your most "egoistic" possession, saying to your God "I am nothing before you. I surrender my 'ego' to you. Problem here is that the hair grows fast, the ego grows faster

1. EGO SHOULD BE THEIR IN EACH & EVERY INDIVIDUAL TO PROVE THEIR INDIVIDUAL INTEGRITY. 2. EGO ARE OF MULTIPLE TYPES. 3. EGO OF STOPPING SOME-ONE TO GROW IS HARMFUL FOR SELF AND OTHERS. WHICH IS LEADING TO HUGE CORRUPTION OF MINDS. 4. EGO OF ME IS HARMFUL. ITS ALWAYS I, MINE, MY & MYSELF. 5. SELF EGO LEADS TO ANGER AND THEIR WE HAVE TO PUT SELF ANGER MANAGEMENT THEORAPY.

Ego just cannot be removed. It is as good as you yourself. Ofcourse, ego can cause problems many times. But if you exercise your ego for your good, it is good. When you know you are on the wrong path and your ego comes in the way of acknowledging it even to yourself, that is bad. So since ego is inseparable from a human being, it is better to make it work for you rather than it working against you.
