Darshana.. i feel so sad to hear this from you. In kerala people were fighting against the use of Endosulfan for the past 10 years. In the Stockholm convention, india argued against the ban of Endosulfan using a study report which taken in 1990. That report says that Endosulfan is not causing any health issues. But the same organization which took that study itself came up with a new report in the Convention saying that the Endosulfan is hazardous to Human being with relevant support. So who were hiding the Truth.?

Please elaborate on the effects in Kerala..

Please check the following links from Toostep :

Endosulfan

Endosulfan ban

If the problem is so severe than why have people come up so late??

India hides truth in all the matters but then we have RTI and we can know anything we want to.

Darshana and supporting for NO,

In establishing effects a lot of research and support is necessary therefore while promoters and sellers may be able to afford even canards the sufferer being mostly individual has no resources. Besides the after effects at times takes decades to appear which again is not easily linked to malady. it is for this reason right thinking governments are lost to myopic handling as health of citizen is a serious concern.

Yes its true that Kerala people suffering from health issues and its spreading to neighboring states. It has lot of health issues, why don't we ban. In fact it has been already banned in so many countries. So India should take up health issues rather than profit turnover of endosulfan.
