In India there is huge scope of energy saving by a little bit development of sensitivity toward the issue.Being a poor country we cant afford the costly sensor for occupancy which are unnecessary also. What we should do is creation of examples of our healthy practices so that not only energy saving but also we will be closer to nature hence our body resistance, immunity will be good enough. We should use daylight as much as possible, switch off appliances, lights,Fans, put computer on standby mode even if we are going out for 5 minute. We should use Desert cooler in place of AC in Northern India for Low humidity & high Temperature season i.e.Feb to June.

Sorry Shika Malhotra,

This is what we say ,"Reduce Individual Carbon Foot-print" . i.e to say, reduce consumption of Energy in all possible ways. Consumption of Energy reduction means Carbon Emission in total, reduction. If every individual is conscious of his consumption and try to reduce, it is not only , increase Energy savings but also reduce Global Warming.

There are many calculator available to calculate your Carbon Foot-print (click here) & can be thought of the best possible way to reduce it. It is an Economic way of saving your Purse on Energy consumption AS WELL AS doing , a bit to reduce Global Warming.

Yes sir we can do this but for this everyone has to understand and do it i unison. This is difficult and tricky because there are people who are irresponsible and do not care about anything.

YES SE CAN PROVIDED IF WE ABSORB EARTH DAY FOR ONE HOUR EVERYDAY . THIS MAY SOUND FUNNY THAT THERE POWER CUTS FOR ALMOST 3 TO FOUR HOURS IS ALMOST EVERYDAY SCENARIO.WHATEVER MAY B THE CASE IT ALL DEPENDS ON HOW ONE PERCEIVE IT

Plus the govt has also got to look at alternate sources of energy like solar power which is abundant in the south even in the winter months. Govt. offices first should set the example by switching to LED lights Start giving energy credits or tax concession for energy saved, this could act as the motivator for the public to do their bit.

Mr. Kaliyamoorthy,

My posing for introducing the course was to develop the habit from the time when it is easy to develop. Yes there are certain things included in the school book but it is all theoratical and very limited.

Look it is a matter of building a culture / habit and it needs to be done in systamatic manner only also it is a time taking process.

Mr. Parveen Varma,

There are so many Energy management courses, Environmental management course (ISO 140001 etc), Rain forest development schemes, Environment awareness in school syllabus etc. Moreover , plenty of development schemes are sponsored by World organizations to reduce carbon emission among the countries to mutually co-operate. But, at micro level the Individual needs to rise awake & reduce consumption of Energy to reduce Global Warming.

why u say for everyone if u can do this then u do,why u see the wht other ppl doing, why u not think tht if u do then may be possible tht other ppl will follow u. so i think tht firstly u should changes ur habit then see tht wht other ppl do and u should say abt the energy saving to ur family members n frds. Thanks

We should switch off of the lights or electrical appliances when we are not in room at house or office. Some times we think that if we switch off the light then how much saving will save it doesn't matter how much u save.if you save 1 unit per day means 30 units per month its a huge saving if all we follow same practice.by this practices we save the energy as well as our money. If you are in industries then i request u that u should specify the location where u can save the energy and do a proper work on that like using a VFD on the Motors or timers etc. Thanks

First of all India is not a poor country. and We have to increase the energy conversion. We convert only very few energy as compared to our need. However Saving is helpful in any field not in the energy but we have to increase our conversion power.
