England settle for a tie: Are they serious contenders for World cup??

It looked like England cricket team were cruising at one stage and chase down a big target of 339 and win the match but team India which looked like out of sorts when they came to bowl were just chasing the ball all day and England team scored runs on their will and Indian spninners were very ineffective yesterday....but inspiring spell from Zaheer khan made sure they came back right into the game and the could have easily gone India's way but again bowlers let down in the end where tailenders thrashed them for sixes and in the end the match was a draw a rare entity in ODI format lately. 

But the way England approached the game gives a feeling like they are really strong contenders for this world cup.  What do you think people Are England team a serious contenders for this world cup??

Fact remains,they have denied India of a win and exposed Indian week bowling.It may be tough for them to win,nut this is confident booster which is similar to Indian win 1983 by India .

No, England do not have good bowling line like India thats why they managed for tie.

Yes they are. But also yesterday's match has shown that Indian bowling attack is quiet weak. We need to improve our fielding as well as bowling as soon as possible if we want to win the WC.

The match was between celebrities and professional cricketers The English.It was stroke of luck and committed .Zaheers effort that brought hopes of India defending.We never had commitment to fight/defend.It was England who were determined to win.With recent success against Australia,and near settled taem,England deserves to lift first WC.Being aIndian I feel sorry that Our team place for individual place/name/fame ,but not for collective effort to win

Big time yes, forget the thrashing that they got from Australia in the recent  one-day series down under, but England the way they played their first 2 ODI's against Netherlands and India gives a feeling they have the tools to lift this world cup, KP opening the innings, and Strauss in super form with highest runs scored in world cup, and rest all chipping in with good performance looks like England are really strong not only on paper but also on field.
