yes, i agree to that investment in equities require fundamental research. because fundamental research is all about what the company  is and what are the factors affecting the company's performance like Socia-Cultural, Technological, Legal, Political ect. So, for fundamental research  firstly you have gone through the all the factors which are concequances of the performance of the company.

So, Based on research only Equity market perform well and give satisfactory result.

If you are a short term trader or investor who is looking to take an advantage of the high volatality in the market you must follow the technical analysis, as investing period is shorter and no comapnies who are fundamentally sound could give you abnormal returns in short period. Whereas those companies whose stocks are highly volatile the investor can take help of the technical analysis and earn good returns in the market but with a high risk involved in short term.

I have good experience in both...and surely believe that real value is created by long term investment ie fundamentals.Technicals can give a confirmation to your fundamental study.

It depends on what kind of a investor you are. If you are a long term investor with a view of remain invested in the company for 2 or 3 years or more. you must follow fundamnetal research. You should invest in such companies who are fundamentally sound and also holds some amount of liquidity means cash rich companies as in time of liquidity crunch these comapnies does not suffer and can take the most advantage fo liquidity crunch in the market and have enormous returns.

Yes, strong fundamentals always pay in the long run. Actually both are rewarding, but fundamental analysis have higher potential.

Fundamental analysis looks for a longer time period and is more rewarding in the long run. Fundamental analysis is based on the intrinsic value while technical analysis is based on the price pattern or trend. Big names like warren buffet follow value investing. On the other hand fundamental analysis require better skills and market takes time to turn in favour of underpriced securities .

Another view regarding is that they complement rather than contradict, fundamental analysis helps in stock selection while technical analysis helps in deciding the timing of purchase or sale and investors should employ a combination of fundamental, technical and quantitative analyses.

For short term technical and for long term fundamental.

During the bull runs, technicals are giving better returns.

During bear market recovery, fundamentals would save investments.
