Every other day you woke up a new website creeps up. However have you given a thought how many websites out there are secure?? for some basic vulnerability such as SQL Injection, etc answer is 60% to 70%. The shocking thing about this most of them either doesn't know that their web application / website is so vulnerable. For script kiddies its just a walk in the park. Any one out here can do as well. This is where developers have to come out of the box and give a thought for this stuff...

It is better to have some knowledge about hacking. Its not all about securing firewall or routers, it also covers the domain of secure programming. It will help professionals to develop applications securely and of course the knowledge how it will be used depends, but it should not be used for wrong reasons.sometimes we get tempted but you should abide by the law.My vote is yes as it will help IT professionals in a great way.

Ethical Hacking is a concept of Security,Every IT Proff. should know what it is and how Hackers do attack;if you don't know this, how can you protect your network(IT infra.)working on Firewall and setting some policies isn't mean that you are secure!!IT Proff. should know EthicalHacking!

I think from security point of view IT Prof should know about Hacking. This will pave the way for creating improvised security of our system. Of course the three tenets of security,Confedentiality,Integrity and Authenticity must be maintained by the professional at all levels, because there is a question of trust involved here. The one who is working on it ia Human being and not a machine

I thing there is nothing wrong in knowing. Today students want to learn everything including hacking but the professors are not in a position to teach them because they are not aware of it. So ethical hacking should be made part of curriculum. This will help the students to build their career......

HAPPY DAYS AHEAD FOR HACKERS!! ITS A GALA TIME FOR HACKERS, AS THE HIGH-PROFILES ARE HIRING THEM, IF A CANDIDATE GETS SELECTED THEN IT WILL TAKE HIS LIFE BY THE STORM, AND I THINK IT IS MUCH BETTER FOR THEM THEN DOING DISHES AT HOME. PUBLIC SOMETIMES PREFERS TO HAVE ONLINE TRANSACTIONS AT THAT TIME, INTERVENTION OF "SECURITY" PLAYS MOST IMPORTANT ROLE, SINCE A NETWORK WITHOUT SECURITY IS LIKE AN OPEN CUP BOARD, AS WE STORE OUR VALUABLE BELONGINGS IN IT, SO IN SUCH CIRCUMSTANCES, THE ROLE OF A HACKER IS VERY VERY IMPORTANT, BECAUSE A HACKER IS A PAST MASTER AT SECURITY SETTINGS, LIKE FIRWALL CONFIGURATION, BLOCKING PORTS, ETC. THEIR ROLE IN NETWORK SECURITY CANNOT BE RULED OUT. AS FAR AS MY KNOWLEDGE IS CONCERNED, IT IS QUITE CHALLENGING FOR US, BECAUSE THERE WILL BE A STIFF COMPETITION BETWEEN A HACKER AND A NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR. THE DIFFERENCE IS BOTH ARE TECHNICAL PERSONS, BUT A HACKER SIMPLY BREAKS OUR POLICIES IN THE SYSTEM. I HOPE I HAVE DRIVEN HOME THE POINT. I AM BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

free mind is the house of devil and it will be right in the case of hacking. If IT prof knows hacking he will try atleast once and that makes him a hacker , so no diffeence btween them.
