In my view excessive bench strength is all about the result of poor planning of resource management team ....First they should properly coordinated Their sales team and look forward for forecasting plan then team should be recruited as per the requirement to avoid excessive bench strength.....

the managers should asses/estimate their requirement based on the workload they have. if there is excessive bench strength then they are responsible.

This is because of unclear planning. The company should be very much clear about their plan for the coming year and how to execute it. Most of the companies will have a proper plan but would not know how to execute it. This is where an external consultant should come to picture. Start Up or Mid size companies can seek the help of consultants who are IIM,IIT passouts to implement their plan. This is the best way to ensure that the business is running successful.
