definitely it will affect the orkut.but in india this will not affect more because in india most of the people has not multimidiaset by which they can access the internet.currently facebook is number one in hit a website it left back to google also.

Free mobile access to Facebook will definitely affect Orkut and other social networking sites. They will also need to look at alternative options to counteract the business strategy of Facebook. It may take the route of e-mails where yahoo, google, hotmail and other mail service providers presently offer e-mail services free of charge....

These so called social networking sites will ultimately fall in line to remain relevant. For short period however, they would lose out to facebook.
