Fashion shows one's attitude towards his/her life. What a person wear, it not only shows how good he/she looks but at the same time how positive or negative that person. For me, one should keep check with fashion : 1. Occasion 2. Place 3. Comfort zone 4. Carry his/her own persona 1.

Fashion here mentioned is some thing which related to the fashion show in metros or not? If you mentioned fashion among executives or in corporate world it is not a statement but a necessity. We should follow the dress code which is suitable to the situation and profession

No doubt fashion is an important field but most important thing is you need to carry yourself well. You are free to wear anything you want but you should know how to wear, occasion to wear, place to wear and how to carry.....

I agree with you Kavitha that it depends on us in which way we achieve this. Fashion (Wearing) of a person use to tell so many things about his personality and status. Its must to follow the present fashion as per your work and living style. In which you feels your self confident and comfortable is the best fashion

Kavitha, I agree that fashion is something you feel comfortable wearing. At the same time one can not be out of sync with what is happening around you.It is actually a fair mix of both the factors Regards, Rajeev Nehra

The thing to remember about fashion is that there are no absolutes in fashion ; what is fashionable today may not be so tomorrow , what is not fashionable today may become the rage in a matter of months. When fashion is so fickle , how can anyone believe that fashion is so important ? Also , one should remember that it is the man / woman who makes the dress fashionable ; the same dress worn by another person may not look great. Otherwise , why would some models become supermodels , if it were the clothes which alone were fashionable ?

I support this point. What one wears must make sense in the weather one is in and must be c comfortable. All too often we forget that comfort is an essential part of healthy living. In India for instance, particularly down south, it does not make much sense to wear clothes that dont breathe well or that dont absorb perspiration.

Fashion for any individual is to show-off what ever is possible. They want to follow the latest in the market and try to enact like westerners. Do we really need such kind of Fashion?? Well, may be not. Be your normal self and do not follow what others do. Buy what is really worth and not for mere show off purpose. Today, in the name of Fashion, people buy anything and everything to show-off their class and status. Ultimately, they end-up buying things which they never require.

Fashion statement often leads to " show of money-power " which is not desirable. Cos and brands pick up this weakness and fix their strategy to propogate fashion amongst the affluents. As if, high cost - high fashion. Generally Indians and Chinese believe in "Plain living and high thinking" - that may be a reason that we are leading the world these days. Further, ours is not a rich country, some have meagre income to support lives. Here vivid show of such "statement (fashion)" may devide the society a bit further. Equally, may we not innovate fashion statement with less- costly items ? Perhaps we can. Experts here may also let us know what remains the differences in : Fashion statement and Style Statement. Disclaimer : People connected with "Show Biz" has been kept away from the perview of above discussions. It is perhaps a necessary for them.

It is purely POMP & SHOW!! Its the clout of a kick called as "THE POWER OF MONEY"! Is i necessarily true that a man in a Mercedes Benz who wears a YSL shirt will deliberately wear CMABRIDGE for the love of his country??? Is that a guy driving a ZEN should not wear a VAN HUESSEN?? Brands in the luxury segment have a very high value of snob that is created by the communication that they convey and the medium that they use to convey it. It automatically creates an aura of being niche. Add to it the price tag and there you are,... Part of huge circus of POMP and SHOW!!
