Engineering students who have consistently scored over 70 per cent throughout their academic career can "leapfrog" directly to the interview stage!! Based on the performance of fresh graduates hired earlier, the company has graded engineering colleges in the country and only students that fall in A, A+ and B category institutions can avail of the scheme. May be for themĀ  written test is more to check your aptitude and we think the academic consistency takes care of it. So what co you all think. Is it good or bad?

Its great!! After all that hardwork of so many years if a candidate gets one step closer to its dream job nothing can be better. Its not less hardwork , maintaining a good academic record is also a dfiicult task in itself. I think even the other companies should havethis rule. It would make it easy for job hunting freshers.

What about the one's who just missed it by few percentage? It has been always seen that average students do better at aptitude than the toppers. Then why is this rule here? It will make it difficult for the ones lying in between 60-70% because chances for them will definitely reduce and performance level required will go high resulting into more stress.

Right Manish, factual explained. your point can be considered by consultancy supportive companies or MNCs too but at the time of Direct recruitment, where will an Aptitude test lie ? Can you understand that ?

Hi Manish, Thanx to light on my question but is it possible to arrange an aptitude test for thousands for only one ? don't you think it costs largely to the company when you have an option to select 1 in only 10 top guys.

I think you are going to sentimental but think from both angles ?

@srirang, we all know that grades is nothing to do with practices & skills. but my question stands still, what about the process of selection when you have 100 times application against few openings and how will you choose that 1 average guy in 1000 average guy ? Think practically, whatever you stated that happens in rare cases.

@ Manish, this usually makes a list short & reliable as well as of suitable candidates, yes there are also chances to loose a great talent by doing this.

Rare cases everywhere.

Yes Priyanka, you may be right but what about the process of selection when you have only few openings and receive more than 100 times applications.

I am agree to your point that an average student can do better rather than a topper & vice-ver but its not a easy to select that one guy in 100 or 1000 average students.

@ santosh sir, company don't see the cost in recruitment, company needs a talent and talent doesn't mean by %marks. it has been a habit of HRs Department, how much HR Department pay to consultancy firm?? i think one month salary. have we seen any costs here?? 1 aptitude paper i think it will cost 10 rupees maximum. sometimes fast track recruitment becomes first come first serve in several colleges. i strongly feel that the Hr persons are lazy from bIg MNCs.

@ santosh sir, we will choose 1 avg guy in 1000 thru aptitude test. everybody should be given equal Chance to prove .Not everyone who's on top today got there with success after success. More often than not, those who history best remembers were faced with numerous obstacles that forced them to work harder and show more determination than others.

its bad in my view.ppl may be good in grades but not knowing the exact knowledge of wat they r recruited for. on d other hand u have ppl who score less but have good knowledge in wat they r recruited for.this definitely will create a bias.
