Hey guys, This one is for all ERP enthusiasts out there. The game is simple- name your favorite ERP provider in India based on whatever experience, image, accounts etc you have had in the past. Try to focus on the Small & Medium Enterprise segment. The brands can be international, they just should have a customer base and functional operations within India I tried to put a poll in the polls section for this one too.. But despite repeated attempts, the system keeps blanking me out. Anyway, I guess this is as good a way as any to gauge brand standings. Just to have some options out there, some of the major ERP players in the India market are SAP, Oracle, Ramco, Peoplesoft, Tally, Epicor etc. Factor things like technology, evolution over the years, cost effectiveness, SaaS, web based models etc while naming your pick. Lets have some case studies or personal accounts if anyone has. Cheers.

Ramco ON demand is a SaaS based ERP.ERP implementation and maintenaince is the key challenge for all organization. Most of the companies invested a huge amount in ERP and spending even today a good amount in IT infrastructure, IT Manpower etc. Still they are not satisfied. At the end of the day companies are not benefited by ERP.

Ramco on Demand is one of the initiative by an Indian Compay RAMCO SYSTEM, which is technically ahead of SAP. RAMCO proved by hard working acquiring more than 200 customers for on demand ERP last year. SAP has also planned by SAP by DESIGN, but yet to launch in the market.

SaaS modle has certain limitation like customization. Infact ERP is successful when compnies follow an ERP business practices. But companies wnat an ERP to cusomized according to their requirement. So ERP fails.

Over all Ramco On Demand is very good ERP solution in terms of ROI.

Ramco OnDemand ERP is a web-based, pay-for-use ERP based on the Software-as-Service (SaaS) model. Unlike conventional onsite ERPs, which require up-front investment in IT infrastructure and manpower, Ramco OnDemand requires no initial IT investments. All you need to start using it is an internet connection! Flexibility and scalability are the inbuilt huge benefits - since you pay for what you use, you can vary the number of users and modules even on a month by month basis.
