A similar topic was discussed in Energy community. I talked about Renewable energy. Mainly on the score of environmental concern. But, now, the question posed is about the "Hazard involved in Nuclear Energy production".

A few of the Major Hazards are:-

  • Radioactive material handling
  • Chain reactions during fusion/fission activity
  • Energy release & heat during split
  • Fire & explosion
  • Environmental damage
  • Damage to property & people involved.

Technology is involved with Hazards but because of it, We never stop using it. These is the reason why various studies are carried before introduction , such as HAZID, HAZOP,QRA, Process Hazard Analysis,FEMA, LOP, EIA, etc etc.

When the Risk is made to acceptable level, only then very important industry such as Nuclear plant are allowed. For which the Safety standards & International community terms & conditions are very high. You can see it in BARC, Kalpakkam Nuclear power plant etc.

When adequate safety standards are provided & are being periodically reviewed, it will serve the community. Moreover, a part of it, is speaking about, the Emergency Preparedness required, in the event of any mishap happens. There should not be any Compromise made on it.

If we follow Industrial standards set-out strictly, we can avoid major set-backs, and I feel that, this energy can provide a viable alternative for Major Industrial Consumers.

The central government has accorded environmental clearance to the 9,900 MW Jaitapur nuclear power project slated to come up in Ratnagiri district, subject to 35 conditions and safeguards, including 23 specific to the project and other general conditions. This proposed power plant is 10 times powerful as that of Chernobyl. Imagine the disaster of Chernobyl, our memories have not faded. This is the first time in the world this type of nuclear reactors are built on an experimental basis - India, a favoured destination to try anything which will lead to catastrophe - we are yet to come out of Bhopal Gas Tragedy! May GOD save our country!

I want to support this side. Our ads are good & shows that we have creative ideas, but some ads are really bad to see. Ex. Saif 's ad of Rupa Frontline.
May be the best option in current scenario.
May be it's a dark spot on all of us. Hope Delhi Police will be able to give justice to the brave girl.
