Muammar Gaddafi the leader of Libya gave a shock to all at the UN where he actually spoke on the Kashmir issue saying Kashmir should be an independent buffer state between India and Pakistan. In a 90-minute speech Gaddafi spoke about the political and diplomatic history of the world in the last half century in his first ever appearance at the UN.

It took all by surprise as he spoke regarding the kashmir issue which India and Pakistan is having talks all these years without proper solution to it.

Most of Gaddafi’s rant was aimed at US and the western world, although he did not spare others, including the UN Security Council. At one point, he even blamed India and Japan for robbing Somalia of its fishing wealth, forcing Somalis to take up piracy.

Gaddafi, i think none of his speech made any sense to UN, this is something incashing popularity or gaining more when you r in lights.... today if senselss creature if given chance to speak in UN will recite recent international disputes irrespective of thier concerns or knowledge...... same did Mr. Gaddafi did..... i am sternly against what he did say about Kashmir

Mr. Gaddafi, the gr8 Libiyan leader, is quite unaware about the position of kashmir. He is a helpless poor man, tell him that if kashmir is declared an independent state then people living there will die of hunger rather than terrorism as there is very limited vegetation and the infrastructure there is so undeveloped that the independent govt. will never be able to import a huge quantity of food.

I don't think Gaddafi should interfere in India's issues at the moment and he should worry about his own country which is falling apart and is not able to do anything, when he spoke he just blamed everybody and took the Kashmir word to everyone's surprise and i don't see Kashmir being an independent state for that matter, even though the valley is embroiled with so much activity from both India and pakistan and with so much terrorism it has seen till date it will be difficult for kashmir to function as an independent state.
