Well my dear friend, either you must be in IT or Computer Science. These companies Wipro, Infosys, etc are generally having campuses in many colleges, but you would be getting appointment after 6months or sometimes even beyond an year. And yes for IT companies there are many on-campuses and off-campuses, but for Non-IT companies there are no campuses or very low campuses. In the names of the companies you had provided, i can't find any non-IT company..

Well sir I am not crying or blaming private colleges. I am blaming Government who is approving such a huge number of colleges. Well I just wanna ask you that how can a student prove his caliber? You have no gates to enter in to any company till they get you from your college campus. And no company can dare to take a candidate from new PRIVATE college. And to get in the company we have to use jacks and links. This is the only way we can prove ourselves. I am just saying that government should stop on approving more and more private colleges. This is decreasing the value of an Engineer.

Day by day hundreds of new private colleges are taking birth in India. Education have become a way to earn lots of money for people. Even if we get degree, we don't have that status and job in market. I have completed BE Automobile from a Private college from Gujarat. I had training at one of the Automobile MNC as my final semester project. My work was found impressive. But due to the policy of the company, they only campus from IIT's and NIT's. Then why government is approving these many colleges? I think government should bring control over this BUSINESS and stop playing with our lives.

Companies, whether IT/Non-IT, can be attracted to a company for 2 main reasons - Quality of students through off-campus recruitments, considering that the college hasn't invited them yet for an on-campus drive AND the marketing and PR initiatives of the college to make aware to the prospective hirers, the existence of a college that can add value to your company...so it is how you, through your employability along with the college's PR initiatives make sure that IT/Non-IT companies come to your door-step to hire talented individuals like you...Jobs are for all not for engineers..Prove and let the offer letter talk for you...Cheers!

YEah... since engineers r geting more income many people started coming to engineering clg. And later many Clg came up to sustain the demand. But problem came.. more the clgs lesser is becoming the quality. BUt if we keep whole system aside and if wat we r learning and wat we havto gain. we can know more to accomplish. Jobs can easily be taken by talented students. Fact is company should know abt them. So communication skill takes best part in it.

"HOW YOU GAIN KNOWLEDGE IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN WHERE YOU GAIN IT".IT IS NOT A PIECE OF PAPER OF A4 SIZE WHICH IS GOING TO DECIDE OUR FUTURE. ITS ONLY THE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL YOU GAIN ALL 4 YEARS.

JOBS ARE OFFERED BASED ON VARIOUS ASPECTS OF THE CANDIDATE LIKE IQ,G.K,ATTITUDE,APPROACH,PRESENTATION SKILLS,TEAM PLAYING CAPABILITIES,DECISION MAKING CAPABILITIES ETC ETC ETC.COLLEGE ALONE DOES NOT DECIDE THE CANDIDATE FOR THE POSITION CALLED FOR. SO LET US EQUIP OURSELVES,ACQUIRE THE REQUIRED SKILLS AND GET RIGHT JOB.

Jobs are for Engineers not for the college the companies seek talent not the governing authority of the college, with IITs,NIITs being exception else every one is aware of the fate of govt. run colleges which devoid the students with good infrastructure, facilities & students are at the mercy of the faculty to provide sessional marks

Well how can a company know about the candidate's talent till they test the candidate? And the problem is that there is very few campuses in new private colleges. My college was est. in year 2000. Till date I haven't seen any good company at my college's campus. How to prove your talent now?

Getting a degree is enabling oneself into gaining pre knowledge in his specialization. This will be easy for the person to utalize the knowledge and develop his own skills when he start working.

There is no point in crying after joining a college and getting a degree from there and after blaming the college for not getting a job. There is job every where for all fields. As all other's opinion in this side, it is not reputation of colleges, but the performance and calibre of students that fetch them a job.

THERE ARE JOBS... PROVIDED UR FIT FOR IT ! Gaining Education & a Degree... dosent make everyone eligible for a Job. It depends a lot on each person;s individual capacity & brilliance. Alongwith Intelligence, Body Language is assessed by Recruiters. How can we just Blame Colleges for that ? They impart education equally to all students... If ur like a SPONGE, u take in more. As simple as that. Happy Debating Friends !
