BJP is in complete turmoil these days as L K Advani finds himself in a corner over his attempt to distance himself from the controversial decision to release the terrorists for hostages in the Kandahar case. Terrorists like Maulana Masood Azhar who was the chief of Jaish-e-Mohammad, and Omar Sheikh who later went on to kill Daniel Pearl were released.

In what appeared to be a concerted move on Thursday, two crucial functionaries of the NDA government, Brajesh Mishra, close aide to Atal Bihari Vajpayee and national security advisor, and Yashwant Sinha joined the expelled leader and George Fernandes in insisting that Advani was party to the decision to swap three terrrorists for hostages on board in the kandahar case.  And just after Jaswants expulsion from the party he said he had covered up Advani in this regard. So with controversy one after the other is not at all doing good for BJP and Advani.

What do you think, is it all over for LK Advani??

I think this Terrorists for hostages was not at all accepted by many when it was first suggested and NDA which took decision regarding this and released 3  terrorists in the swapping, and this was a bad decision, even though people are picking these things from the past but surely its haunting not only BJP but also Advani who was the main man behind the decision. Already with many internal problems and the chintan bahitak which did not go that well in shimla, surely its all over for LK Advani according to me.

Absolutely. During the Loksabha Polls, BJP in its campaign tried to portray itself as a party with a difference and Mr. Advani as the "Loh Purush". It claimed that if it was in power then it would have dealt differently with the 26/11 situation. But now its true face is exposed by its own leaders and Mr Advani's colleagues whose statement clearly proves that the "Loh Purush" was misguiding the nation for so long on the Kandahar episode and BJP is like any other political party that is in existence and was misleading the people of the nation.

Kandhar was i believe was no a good decision by the then government to swap the 3 terrorists, but we can also not comment because there were so many lives involved in that.

But what has happened has happened and we cannot change that, except taking care that it does not happen again...

What is happening today is i believe is a disastrous situation for the BJP, their guns are firing back to them. This is nothing but a fight to prove that i am the best, and make the other person shameful...

I agree with Mr. Markand Bhave, we need some strong oppostion which is a National party which is the BJP. Adavani, RSS, whosoever wants can take the lead and restructure the party as these issues are hurting them to the core...

It seems very obvious, but what cards are played down the line one never knows, especially with the BJP. The worry factor stepped in the recent elections, when the party agenda and positioning was very feeble, almost childish. There has to be some good opposition in order to have a sensible government. Monopoly in politics will not serve the nation well.

It is not over for Advani ji,he will weather out the crisis, why earlier brijesh mishraji or arunshourieji or jaswantji or Atalji did not oppose then so it was collective decision to release the

terrorists for releasing the passengers on air india board. There is no point on crying over spilt milk. The onus of BJP'S defeat ,no one wants to take the responsibility,i feel even the RSS are also one of the factors  responsible for defeat because the grass root workers from BJP  are from RSS only.
