Yes, of course, HR is a function which needs a lot of finesse, aesthetics, and overall housekeeping abilities, which obviously a lady is able to do justice to, very well.

YES... THEIR EMOTIONAL NATURE IS A BIG BIG PLUS... To me personally, HR is more about Human Relationship, rather than Resources. A Company GROWS FASTER WITH HAPPY EMPLOYEES... and to keep them Happy, one just needs to CARE ABOUT THEIR BASIC REQUIREMENTS. It does not take much to achieve this. A WOMAN / GIRL in HR can do this JOB commendably, simply because inspite of being a Professional... at Heart She is still a Woman. Just like a Woman Runs Her Family & keeps them Bound with her Love & Care... same way She can take Care of the Company Employees, After all a Company where U work, is also like your Family too... SOURCING OUT the Right Person for the JOB, is just the start of an HR Activity... BUT... to retain Him/ Her Happily is more crucial & important. JYOTI... A very good Debate, which will compell Corporates to think on these lines. Happy Debating Friends !

In my 40 years experience I have seen Girls are more commited to their jobs compared to Boys. Boys get easily distracted, and less focused and less goal oriented.

Yes girls do better as HR as HR has to understand human behaviours well and we should see what we expect from our HR.. we want them to understand our concern and girls emotional end helps them understand things better and as far as rountine work of is concerned it is a repititive and more of documentary kind of work both girl and men can do them easily.

No matter what one say's Girls make a good HR 1) Since maximum aspirations are Guys, Guys like to attend calls from HR who are Girls, Hence Girl HR can attract Quantity to select from. 2) People are more likely to Listen to Girls and reach a settlement when HR is Girl 3) There is less chances of arguments with Girl HR in case of dispute. and so on... OFCOURSE there is exception when candidate is stubborn about his career goal and dream job. GAME IS ALL ABOUT NATURAL ATTRACTION TOWARDS OPPOSITE SEX. Had our society been a FEMALE dominant opposite argument might have been posted by a WOMEN.

Yes. Girls do do better in most areas as they seem to have a desire to "show-off" and entire the male bastion. Girls doing better in HR will be OK for white collar job areas like IT?. When it comes to the case of "blue collar" sections like in factories girls will lag behind as the language, the culture etc. goes against female sensibilities

Abhishek wht doubt, of course it is girls who perform better in HR. Because we are good in managing than mens. We can do multi tasks which mens find it difficult. The main reason why companies prefer womens is for their patience and clear decisions...... :)

It depends upon the type of insdustry say we can divide our industries into 2 parts. 1> Manufacturing Sector ( mechanical/electrical/electronics/pharma) mostly labour oriented & dominated industry. 2>Service sector (IT/ITES/KPO/BPO/Broking firms/Research Firms/Banking/Insurance/Hospitality/Airlines etc) HR people are having their true requirement into point 1 companies where there are hughe problem like labour problems, staff problems ,union level issues, strikes etc. HR people just come for enjoyement in point no2 companies, in my 5 years of career into S/W insdutry i never found anybody working hard & late after 6PM.They only came with good make-up,short dresses & specially with lot much to eat, They always sit into canteen for more than 1 hour during lunch break , again for tea break again for snack break, total 3 hours wasted, 1 hour they stroll around all cubicle making some PJ about page 3 people,They don't have challenging job to do as all are too much educated & do not blame HR, appraisal time is also very smooth for them just saw the face of employee & then if they found him smart, good looking, wooing behind them then make apprisal , if they don't do then still no worries at all since professional never come up & hit you or curse HR people,no responsiblity, no tension just come to office eat tiifin, do all time blah blah blah & sharp 6.0 clock not 6.05 also to go home pretending they are handling all organisation But in manufacturing sector union people shows them starts in a day, when they say a single word union people say 10 slang, Union people know how to handle these HR people very well, Here pressure is too much people directly slang to HR,even in strike perioed mob hit the HR people ouside company premises, they make life of HR peole like HELL comes to ground.

As any other profession HR is highly competitive and demands professional attitude. You'll find most of the HR leaders of both gender (More male) in fortune 500 companies and top companies in India. Girls are doing well and good agreed but we should not generalise and develop perception that Girls are better HR mangers.
