Well,,I think its a matter of individual choice,,,if one feels comfortable, suitable & confident with any gussy up,,,she has the very right to do so & we are no one to comment on this,,,whether one find it attractive or otherwise,,, Secondly this should not become an excuse that fancy attire leads to molestation etc,,,its the mind that is dirty,,to do so,,I feel,,there are molesters like the recent one,,,not sparing a teenager,,,only 14,,,
Thirdly I personally feel that the dress up should agree with the place & occasion...there is of course a huge difference, what I think in going to a disc or a to native village,,,specially when our traditions & culture is thousands of year old & how you are clad its a part of it,,,what is sometimes called a 'dress code'!
Thanks Mr Kasuri for your invitation,,you put me in between a rock & a hard place :),,but I'd have argued even stronger if I were a woman!!!

Sir, U r the right person 2ask and post this question - U have seen the sarrounding of a city for quite some time. == to attract boys : may not be always be correct. Have seen in some community, where girls are never married to stranger boys ( U recollect Rizanur Rahaman case in Kol ), also put on revealing dresses. Ladies, who have finally decided not 2marry are not exception. Then ... what is the reason ? Best Girls 2give us answer ... Real beauty : What somebody told : "Real Beauty" of a girl might be known in a summer day, in sunlight, at around noon, in most plain dresses without any make-up. It is rare. So ? The dress and beauty parlours. Quite a good chunk of people have surplus fund these days - children 'use' some of them for beauty and dress Why revealing dress : The beauty contest, cosmetic industry and fashion designs etc have done the most hamper ( dont think that consumers are inocent). Dress of Advanced country is no better : I was looking to a question of a very young boy : In mainly cold climatic countries, men are dressed in Suits with full covers including neck tye. In similar sitituatin why women are in a dress where they are mostly un-covered ?

I think you are right Disha. I am in Canada and I see a lot of girls which dress very differently if we consider India. So, can we say that these girls are inviting someone to do something wrong? I hope no. This is surely the cultural differences and infact Indian guys and gals are attracted towards the wertern styles. There is nothing wrong if we are advancing ourselves according to time. But few people have heads far below to follow this point because problem is in the head not in the cloths. Everyone knows whats under the cloths. Also, it is the matter of freedom and the way of looking attractive. I think everyone wants to do that....!!!

Day by day Girls are dressing them with cloths, just covering a very little area of thier body causing increase of mollestation, rape etc.Real beauty boys appreciate are thier normal beauty, personality, communication ability, knowledge on present world scenario etc. Most of the girls feel that, without sex they are not accaptable to boys,it is completely a wrong idea.

I fully agree. I support that eveyone should dress as per circumstances that they are in or that they are getting into (within their means..). Dress gives people self confidence or rather - a badly dressed man/woman becomes too self conscious and can not participate socially; very comfortably. No doubt, a person wearing revealing dresses draws attention. However, most of this is just cursory. A villain does not have opportunity to do harm just because of the dress a person is wearing. Many factors combine in such circumstances. I always believe that exceptions are not rules and the few atrocities we come across are only exceptions. India is witnessing liberal dress culture and it is best that our young people flow with the tide rather than against it.

Though Dressing is mostly done to impress or to get recognized by peers, friends etc this cannot be correlated with other happenings mentioned by Mr. Bhattacharyya. A "Man" cannot forget is moral values just because someone is motivating him to do otherwise. Blaming women for a social injustice committed by men is not the right way to approach this problem.

SORRY TO CONTRADICT YOU DISHA.OF COURSE AS YOU HAVE RIGHTLY POINTED OUT GIRLS` DRESSING HAS CHANGED A LOT COMPARED WITH PREVIOUS DECADES.MANY GIRLS EVEN MARRIED WOMEN DRESS IN SUCH A WAY THAT THEIR BODY IS EXPOSED.THE LEVEL OF EXPOSURE ALSO IS HIGH COMPARED WITH WHAT IT WAS SOME DECADES BACK.THIS IS A FACT TO BE ACCEPTED.

I disagree with you Disha because we dress for looking good and smart and that is always appreciated by the others and not by over selves. You agree or don't but opposite sex dress to impress the each other. Ya one way I am with you that comparatively girls are dressing good but few use to dress so odd which can not be appreciated and recommended. A woman looks always pretty/beautiful in a sober dress not in a vulgar dress. Simplicity makes a woman lovable and adorable too.
