Google is spearheading its campaign to capture the world markets and the latest development in this front is an announcement that Android will be made available on low end phones in the emerging markets of India and China.

If you thought that Android is only for smartphones and high end ones at that, then your opinion is going to change now. This announcement can be clearly seen as Google’s strategy to boost the competition with its rivals – Apple and Nokia.

Yes, I think it will work out. Apple & Nokia have already captured customer minds with their products & its the right time that Google should come up with its android technology to take the Indian & Chinese customers for a ride.

Android seems to be much fascinating than other software applications & I hope that it will apeal to the users....

More particularly India. The political environment in China is not conducive for Google in aprticular. India is not only a consumer market but also a mass production market considering the vast pool of knowledge it possesses. The old card of cheap labor is going to play in favor of India. Particularly the android technology will prove to be a major competitor even in terms of the price war its going in comparison to the premium segments like apple technologies.
