Now even the search option itself is called GOOGLE, then how can google lose its importance. When people want to find something over internet, they just say that " GOOGLE IT, YOU WILL GET THE ANSWER". That is the influence of google on internet users. I think that says it all. “I was a Google user before, but the more I used Bing the more I liked it,” Mr. Callan said. “It’s more like muscle memory takes me to Google.” Bing still handles a small slice of Web searches in the United States, 12.7 percent in June, compared with Google’s 62.6 percent, as measured by comScore, the Web analytics firm. But Bing’s share has been growing, as has Yahoo’s, while Google’s has been shrinking.

Google rules ! Most important thing, Google has no double standards in matter of searches. Google search is a free search, giving a choice to user, however way they want to search. Google doesnot censor searches, however it has filter control options, if one gets offended, by some adult content. On the contrary the most annoying I found about Bing (India), is that it censors the searches. There is no way, to stop this filter, unless one changes the country to some european country. http://techdusts.com/2009/12/31/bing-yahoo-google-flickr-censors-sex-keywords-search-india/ So if you are a medical student Bing is of no use to you, simply go for google! :D

Google is the no. 1 search engine since i remember google now enhacing its features google will not easily give up its position and the searching methods are more powerful than Bing. Bing is more attractive but it takes time to load the content compared to Google.

Google is the best search engine currently, it provides best results on slower connections also, while Bing is quite heavy one it takes more time than Google, and even you don't get the proper results.

THis is coming after the deal with yahoo , i doubt how much would bing appeal if it had been otherwise . With the massive computing power and tremendous R&D in algorithms Google would surely rule search. And now no matter what BING does , we have around 60-70 million android activations every day (quote :eric schmidt) which means the next search platform is "MObile " and with initiatives like goggles and voice search (apps on android ) , the whole new way of searching faster and better is being pioneered , does bing have any idea of whats happening ? Why do we have to type to search ? can't we just say it , voice search in android answers this , Next tablets are all set to be rolled out and with chrome OS , the number of searches will surely increase , With an edge of vast information and innovative digital devices , search will naturally come to the leader and in this case it is clearly Google .

Bing has a very flashy interface on account of the stunning photography. However, Google search is mature and it gives good value. As a market leader, Google's share may see changes but it does not mean that they are losing the grip on the market. However, Bing's sponsor - Microsoft has deep pockets and an ability to sustain their products for a long time. Thus, if there are significant improvements in the search algorithms of Bing in the future, then they may challenge Google. But at this point in time, Google will continue to hold sway over the market......
