Google with Innovative Branding for Google apps, Will this kill Microsoft Office suite?

Google is not letting no stone unturned for its Google Apps launch which would be a fierce competitor for Microsoft's office suite.

And this time to catch the eye of the user they are coming out of online and is taking its marketing strategy for the Google Apps to the next level by renting the most Prominent Billboards in Major US cities, and by going to the good old Billboards which we see while we are driving makes sure that the commuters will see billboards such as these touting Google Apps for a solid month. The idea is to catch IT managers who are struck in Traffic spots and press them on to switching to Google Aps with a different ad for each day of a week.

What do you think about this and will Google Apps kill Microsoft office suite.

It’s undeniable that Google Apps is huge and will be very powerful. And yes, it will strengthen Google’s unfathomable access to information.

But none of these is the point.

I think few people realized that this Google Apps is Google’s latest and biggest trick.

Google is using such kind of products to threaten Microsoft and other competitors, to disturb their concentrations and powers on the Search Market!

Attack is the best defense!

This is unlike Google because, by contrast, Google has rarely bought advertising to promote its search engine since its inception nearly 11 years ago. Google is just escalating its attack against Microsoft just as its search engine is under assault.

Don't know where to side on this debate, but in my opinion , there will few buyers of desktop office productive apps going forward.

Office web services (tied to MOSS[SharePoint]) is what Microsoft must be aiming at.

Offline Google apps has further dented the standalone MS office proposition.

From a technology point of view, the IT managers have plentiful options and would not hesitate to evaluate all..be it MS silverlight, Google Apps, YUI etc.

At the moment i will stick to the Microsoft office, as till now has given me good results, but still google has some work to do with its Google Apps as some finer things are missing, so till then i would not love to jump into the bandwagon on goole Apps....

Yes sir the product is really good but it is designed for different purpose. It is mostly used for military purpose.
