Are we Gullible People! or are we stupid! or are we just plain IGNORANT! Well I say we are we do fall for every traps that this world has to offer so that we can make money for other people but over selves; I for one, can be called as one of those people.

People should relaise that "Nothing in this world is given away FREE! there is always a catch", that is unless off course if you win the lottery, and that is 1000 to 1 odds. Have you thought of any investment you thought you purchased but later on relaised it was just another sham. Well PEOPLE LOOK CLOSELY, at what you buy and ask yourself do you find that the odds or more than the evens, if you do then step back! and WALK AWAY take your time do you homework or ask yourself do you really need it. Someday or other you might justl find out it was not worth that trip.

Lets take for example the following Traps:

GYM MEMBERSHIP: Do you think it is better to have yearly membership which will save you 3 thousand Rupees worth or 1-2 month  worth of FREE gym membership or do you think it better to pay a monthly membership? Well the plan for all hard rung bodies of gym'ing club think 1 year is the game. I will save a lot in those extra months I get! Fu*&#$ D(*&@B. DUHHHH!! well in fact the only saving you do make is not you but the PERSON who RUNS the GYM he makes the profit. I know I am right. There are no guarantee that you will make it to the GYM 7days of the week  365 days of the year to the GYM the reason well Duh!! they are either you fall sick, Government Holidays, Weekends SAT& SUN All combine to form 2 months free which you think in warped brain are getting that bit extra.

Conclusion: MONTHLY just pay for the months you are going to the GYM! but there are still no gurantee you will go the full month. isnt that better than big amount you cough up?

DIWALI BONANZA: Catch Phrase "Buy a cooler get a 32" color TV absolutely FREEE!!!", whoopeee!! TV thats so worth it RIGHT!! so when you get bonus claim prize you find out you do get the TV Free but it is of LOWER Quality because if you are technologically blind most PLASMA and LCD TV come with different series like for X,Y, Z series and the free will always be of the lower category which means it might see image and all with all features you thought it would be or then it might just run for year or two after that you will see the repair man as part of your family in your House.

Conclusion: Just cough up the original price of the TV and then BARGAIN AND HAGGLE the salesman for a lower price because every showroom salesman has certain price they can lower it too. ( I bet you didnt know that) than what is stated in showroom he always says the higher price at the beginning, thinking you are going to bargain with him and some how come down to the lower price if he doesn't he will end up loosing his commission. Or if you are ignorant you can pay fixed price pay his extra commission which by the way is an added bonus from what he is getting as salary.

There are lot more scams you might be intrested- Electronic Technology vise or Consumer Product. If you would like a true Opninion from me then mail me and if i know about that product I can surely give you tech feedback about it

So guys tell me! do you think People Gullible or NOT

I believe we are just HUMAN and we do tend to fall into these trap in our daily lives. People tend to be getting Sstupid and Lazy with everyday technological advances inscience - Like in the film WALL-E People have become so technological advanced that they become so lazy that they have never seen the person sitting next to them b4 in their lives. I think scientist need to really think before they invent whether technology is boon to man or Beginning of their Destruction.

People are not gullible.  Some things do go wrong but it is part of life.  The concept of "buy one- get another free" started with a good marketing initiative.  The same company or a different company may have a product in stock which it wants to clear.  Or it is possible that the company would like to promote the product.  Therefore, two products are marketed together.  Cost of the freebee in bulk purchase would naturally come down.  If the freebee brand has also to be promoted, cost plus brand  investment allocation will bring the price down.

My first impression in such offers is that it could be a good buy.  I would go a little deeper.  Add up costs.  Find out if I need both products.  If I do, and if I have price advantage, why not?

If we go to a shop to negotiate, it is not always possible to get a good price.  I am in Bangalore.  Many migrants to Bangalore have actually spoilt the price benefits we used to get.  They come in and pay whatever the vendor asks.  If we try to negotiate, most of the time we get the reply from the vendor that we either pay up or walk along!

Under the circumstances, publicized bargain price could be a better alternative!!  But be sensible and not gullible.

I agree that lot of people fall in the trap of Conditions apply. This is more prevalent during festival times and in tele communication service providers.

Really!! Lets take for example the I-Phone. The positives of the Phone

  1. Its Sleek and Black, thin and touch screen
  2. Its Graphics Clear, good looking and beautiful with MP3
  3. Its has no keyboard and it has light meter which brightens based on the surrounding environment lights

The Negativess:

  1. Its sleek black and shiny but not scratch by the time the number of time you remove it from pocket to your hand the scratched start developing but you need scratch guard to placed over - thats another investment
  2.  It has it own set of ring tones but you can never place an MP3 has a ring tone - At the least they could let me compose my own tune.
  3. I think god made a little too fat for the virtual keyboard that you end up typing more letters in the sms than it is needed
I can go on and on with negatives but people still buy the I-phone even if the negatives outweigh the positive - Because its all about the Look - My personal opinion the HTC touch phone has better positives attributes than the I-phone but people still wont buy that. My examples where just common ones there are many such things out there that people dont get.

I think gullibility indicates a thinking style that can be a weakness failing to see the big picture and large discrepancies in it; being too literal or it can be a strength not needing narrow definitions and not getting mired in uncertainties, wanting to cut to the point and solve the problem....

Teddy, Its a trick question to answer rather I will say we are guilty of gullibility. It’s easy for us to get sucked into false beliefs because we live in the New Age. That's the way world runs - The Age of Gullibility and Quackery. Marketeers (some would call them racketeers) misuse our language to deceive us, and we are taken in because we fail to look into the validity of their claims. But I will not go onto say people are Gullible because the point is not the presence or absence of gullibility, but the firmness of its grip on us & how we react and the first step in removing it is to recognize its presence...

I don't think people do really care about these offers. Yes, people were crazy about them long time back, but now a days people are aware of these traps or you can say marketing tacts.

Now a days, people always keep their eyes and ears open to know the best, judge and then purchase.
