Has "brain drain" converted to "brain gain" today??

Recently Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said that India has overcome the problem of 'brain drain' and is drawing on the global 'brain bank' of people of Indian origin. "Today, we in India are experiencing the benefits of the reverse flow of income, investment and expertise from the global Indian diaspora.

When our PM is saying something we need to see what is the reason behind it and as a commoner...do you really think, India has converted "Brain drain" to "brain gain" today??

I would give my vote to our PM from the days of licence-permit control raj to India becoming the place to do investment, has had its fair share of problems till date, but now its all changing, yes there are scams that are happening which is a bad thing.  As it doesn't project India in a proper way. But, apart from this everything else is going well for India, earlier it was brain drain which happened as there was very less opportunities, today India has more opportunities than any other country. Whether its getting started or employment or any other things, there is space in every business area today. So, we are gradually seeing the brain gain happening where Indian origin people are coming back to India, and are also bringing in Investment, talent and everything along with them...

Thanks to LPG policy opportunities in India are on rise, this naturally lure those working outside India. However, the manufacturing sector has not yet pick up the gear. The knowledge sector is surpassing every other sector. We are still the followers on the technology front. This needs to be changed with improved R & D facilities then India become one other heaven of opportunities. The loop holes has to be tapped up. Despite there are some drawbacks, India is shining now. Jai Ho
