We want our kids to study at the best places there are people wh force their kids to study science even when they love arts .. Just because they feel that they will go to IITs and later IIMs.. Not just that parents are ready to spend from anything to anything to get best school brand for there kids even if the school is far away from there place and they have a not-so-famous school right next to their house..Sending kids to the best tuitions class and a lot and a lot more.. So has this education become a thing of show-off?

Parents in the society want to show that their kids are doing best. They put their kids in competition to other kids a always want to prove that they are the best. This is creating stress and diseases at young ages and it is becomeing more and more disastrous with passing time..

Anybody would love to send their children to the schools which are well established and reputed, because they do not want to take chances in the quality of the education. But this does not mean that the child will become an engineer or doctor ? It is upto the children to study and make their lives. These schools help them to train better.

Snob value and passing on the self aspirations to their children have become the norm in society today. If a parent wanted to be a doctor today and couldnt be one, he ensures his children become one even though they may not be cut out for it.

Yes I agree with Sheetal. I will like to add to her point that many students get degrees but they have no knowledge. In some cases people persue courses which do not have anything to do with their area of work. Its just for show-off.

Yes show off for parents and very heavy burden for children. If you are observing children in play kid camp, they feel like jail. However they are happy but from heart they feel burden. Parents show that my children is studying english medium school, got 90%, 95%,92%,93%, A+ grade, good etc.Parents feel proud but you never seen that what children feel????

Education has become a "show-off" of parents. Have we not witnessed "Radio-Tagging" of a few students belonging to Trivalley University, declared "Sham University" in the US. Just imagine the pains those students undergo is the reminder to all the parents to allow their children to do what they want to do, rather than forcing them to do what you want!

yes, education becomes show off. Parents wants their children to study, but most of the time they fail to find the interest of their children. They are pushing them into study in college which will show off.

yes very much, i wouldn't let my children attend any schools run by trust or government, I will teach them on my own, I do not want my children to be a paid slave, once they finish their education, they are observed by corporates or Government Departments. All is corrupt, the education, the Government, as a whole the entire system.

Thanks Shital 4 invite.

Nowadays,Education is made as business by teachers and professors while students and their parents have made it the Show business.

Every student like to go for topmost school/college for his/her education.

Parents also support their vision.Or sometimes Parents has that vision and child supports them. But it leads to imbalance of education system.

Big Schools and colleges become more and more richer and famous and in turn, they become costlier too.

Most individuals go crazy by words "international" and try to impose these things on kids and want them to grow up in a out of reality environment

Though it is a business for many of the institutions now a days, but they are providing the best they can do for the students and parents are following it. Forcing child for a particular career path is an old fashion and it's negligible in recent days as there is bright scope for each & every field where child wants to go and parents understand it. But just to shape them up in a appropriate environment, parents are doing these things. So we can not say it 'SHOW-OFF'.

NO, education is not became a show off, we cant think like that also, we must try to motivate & give the value to the education. Competions are there, but we dont think the right way to understand, as competitions are taken to understand the ability, capabilty, timeliness, & many more things which are coming inside or not.
