As there is more and more forms of media emerging day by day don't you think there must be a check on things like on what sort of media is the youth exposed on a regular basis, there is so much innovation happening around just by doing a click away and  they are getting so many things(you know what i mean) and  then youngsters are becoming more and more couch potatoes and adopting to the lifestyles as they watch it on their favourite shows on the tv. So has media led a positive influence on youth?? So plz pour in your thoughts behind this..

Yes in some instances it has a positive effect on youth just because they can get into any kind of information or stuff just doing a click, you can't keep a check, but then they can't just read all the things right, they must get exposed to certain good things also and by seeing things people believe the stuff more and yes there must be a check on the youth, you just can't let them do whatever they want, there must be monitoring by parents on their wards like what sort of things are their children exposed to through media, is it helping them gain knowledge and helping them in a constructive manner, so from my side it is a yes media has led a positive influence.

No media is not doing what it is meant to do. It is driving people to think in a certain way instead of educating them. It is influencing society in a certain premeditated way, which is not its job. I feel people are less educated now than they used to be before. It is just becoming a tool of politicians and industrialists who want to influence the thinking of the vast population, instead of being a beacon ofeducation.

Yes media has influenced the youth in a positive manner because media only showed sachin tendulkar and millions follow him and this a positive influence on youngsters because he is a role model to so many young people who made them dream that what they can achieve in their life, and there are so many examples of such instances, where media has led positive influences on youth, but it is neccessary that there must be check on what sort of things they are exposed through media, and in every medium it has its own pros and cons, so according to me its led a positive influence.

children or young people who watch significant amounts of television and movie violence are more likely to exhibit aggressive behavior, attitudes and values what they see on television so it has not led to a positive influence on youth.....

No it has not led to positive effect on youth the channel which shows sachin it also shows terrorism and goonda acts on television by which youth are geeting spoiled day by day, and youngsters are becoming more and more obese or anorexic by just watching tv. Where young girls try to imitate their favourite personality on screen who is so thin that they think its cool to be thin, and by doing this they are becoming more anorexic and by always watching tv and having to internet access youngsters are forgetting outdoor activities like playing, football, cricket etc, and making them more obese during their young age and by this leading to so many problems for them in near future, so media has wrong influence on youngsters in my point of view. So here is a video which i think really suits the arguement and the debate, whether they watch it on tv or for real, it has bad influences on youngsters.. So just check the video its a must watch for all..

No media has not led to a positive influence, because youngsters spend more time just watching tv and surf through net all day and doing nothing which is helping them build their future and also they are so much influenced by what they watch they are adopting to the same lifestyles, by doing this they are becoming more and more couch potatoes with so many channels being aired. And yes too much of media has created problems than influencing them in a positive manner.
