In my view, during recession, consumers became value oriented, distributors were concerned about cash and the employees worried about their incomes. The squeeze of every economic slowdown and recession is felt by everyone. People were spending less because they had less to spend and they are thinking twice before risking their investments. All People were aware of this in their marketing and they didn't want to garner their share of their spendable income.

I'd say recession or not, everyone is looking for a way to make some more money, MLM is peobably a very interesting way to make some. There a load of fly by night companies, so if you research right and put your chips with the right one, you can over a period of time make some money (Thats the theory) This is where the saying no risk no returns does not really fit well. a Strong network can reward a small unit with relatively lesser risk

In my opinion, recession has not affected MLM business. In fact, it could have been the best thing for the distributors. During this period, You'll find people who were previously uninterested in your business are suddenly looking for new financial opportunities. They want a business that doesn't require a lot of capital, allows them to establish their own hours and offers rewards that can grow faster than capital or labor requirements. So, recession is a best chance to create business.

I believe that when a bill is rejected so many times there has to be loopholes in the bill too and we can clearly see them. The main problem is that we are too emotional that we are not able to find the realistic approach to the matter.
