Does social media help in getting career advancement , would like to know from the real users of the same , all I can say about myself is that from too step I did appoint an HR consultant to help us recruit people across departments , what about you all would love to know if any one got new business through these medium ,I haven’t ….yet

Tnx for the referral Mr. Raghuvanshi, firstly the people need to identify what they are looking at, if its career advancement, then I think the best site so far to my knowledge is Linkedin, if its social networking they are many such as Twitter, face-book, orkut etc. But in Toostep, as far as I have got connected my connection with my Watan-India and Indianess has been duly justified. And I have received and exchanged very progressive ideas though some-times not so pleasant idiosyncrasies. As the Toostep site advertises- Discover and share your professional expertise, it’s on the right track. Now people wanting to get expertise would be looking for hiring people here, but experts may not be too economical :)

I do not know about other social networks. But toostep is definitely a different platform where we can exchange our knowledge, experience & information. Toostep is tillnow ideal platform for professionals.

Keeping job and financial  benefit apart we  can term it a exchange of valuable knowledge which can help build knowledge trust.

The knowledge that is being shared can be useful to the soceity. If socety is prosperous we can reap the indirect benefits.

Most of the delibiration are positive and deeply thought over.truly expert opinions.

Certainly the information inthe sites is very beneficial.

Although till now, I haven't got any tangible economic benefit / job placement, which was the prime reason for joining ... I am quite hopeful to get economic and professional benefits also, as I am still building my professional expertise profile / Q n A etc. ... and have received rave reviews, feedback and a circle of well meaning friends / contacts and an excellent platform for sharing, networking / exchanging my expertise, talents and making it known / recognised by others ... and it is a great way of going about it !

Social media sites plays a very much vital role in getting contacts. With the help of these sites, lot of business news, knowledge, helps, contacts, suggestions etc can be gained. I have personally got many clients from this process....

Not yet, maybe because I am just a beginner. But there is not rush. I need first to understand how to take advantage of social networking. At this moment, getting knowledge and experiences for another partners is good enough.

I honestly was not aware i can encash the contacts and make money out of it, i am into toostep till today because of much interactions that too with unknown people from all around the world, to learn and debate new things, for me toostep is just knowledge oriented realm nothing else till now!!
