All the employee want to be recognised as the best and once company/ies are looking in a different directions for long term goal and sustaiability and profitability all the bright ideas come from these employees of the organisation since they are recognised and rewarded with promotion.

Yes today also necessity is the mother of invation but I think todays employees plays a major role in product innovation, intorduction,inclusion and so on.

Rivalry is always there, and if it is healthy it can bring good result to the company. To show better result people think up new ideas, so it does bring innovation.

yes it is true... existence depend upon the rivalry...its the nature.. if you are not innovative in your work place some one else will take your position in the company..so you have to be innovative from others...so you can give it a name "rivalry"...but yes it should be HEALTHY.
