Where there is a will, there is a way. Prices are determined by the international market forces of demand and supply. Therefore taking action in India alone would not solve the pricing problem. The entire world has to sit and get this sorted out. We are functioning in an open economy and therefore any solution can only fructify if the global prices at large can be controlled.

Reason for high rise of food, fuel should be analysed. a) Is food produced in short supply b)Is Fuel price rise is an international problem There is a way out 1.Proper purchase of agricultural produce and its distribution direct from Farmers to the market with no middle man inbetween. 2.Reduction of Income Tax will help as money supply will be there. 3. Government Expenses which are and always been an issue has to be put under tight control through a transparent mechanism and the public in general are informed through advertisements the expenses incurred in Govt Deptts three monthly basis. 4.Regarding Fuel price rise the Government has to source exploration in a large scale instead of spending money in large amount towards space exploration. 5.Research in alternate source of fuel has to be expedited.

Salary of Govt employees increses (through their DA) with price index, Transporter charges more, daily wage earners also hikes their rates, only the worst sufferers are the private sector employees whose salary is revised only in a year. Private sector companies should pay DA like Govt Employees.

Indians are more oriented to modulas of capitalist in their social order & economic persuit.Individual aspiration is groomed knowingly/unknowingly hypocrasy triggered by counter-dependency due to imitation or status-greed..It is widely mooted idea for prices to be decided by dmand&supply. If price of petrol rise, It should be implicated with reducing its usage. At times, private transport was considered laxury has turned necessity & clinging. In Country like Germany & france, Bicycle are widely used even by elite class. We hase made habit of consuming certain vegitable by taste, But we hardly make choice for food of seasonal items by applying recipe technique of making tasty. We must introspect & remedial our comsuption pattern to contain price.

One of the major factor that has contributed to the increase in food prices is the lack of proper public distribution system. Tons of food grains are wasted very year by the food corporation due to lack of storage and distribution system. If a proper storage and distribution system is put in place the price of food items can be arrested. With regard to the increase in fuel prices if the taxes in fuel import are cut or reduced then the fuel price can be controlled.

The solution is decentralization and promotion of sustainable, resilient lifestyle. Local food growing with climate controlled agriculture,aero/hydroponics,vertical farms, ban use of jute bags for storing food grains, use of modern storage silos. We need to phase out use of petroleum and coal for fuel and move towards hydrogen economy. This will happen using renewable energy by solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, ocean energy(tide,wave,osmotic,otec)...solar is versatile...just see artificial leaf, solar thermal, photovoltiacs, solar chemical.

No,there is no way out.Cost of transportation in carrying agricultural food products from one place to other is impacted due to frequent rise in fuel price. Then comes taxes.I am of the view that the Govt. must create a dedicated channel for transportation of food produces the cost of which must be subsidised so that the food inflation will remain in control. WE ARE NOT WORRIED ABOUT INFLATION WEATHER IT IS SPIRAL OR GALLOPING OR BOTTLENECK OR RUNWAY IT IS ALL ABOUT HOW TO EXPLOIT THE AVAILABLE RESOURCES IN THE BEST POSSIBLE MANNER. I HAVE THE BENEFIT OF DOUBT THAT WHENEVER WE TALK OF GROWTH WE ARE TALKING ABOUT INDUSTRY'S ACHIEVEMENT BUT FAIL TO FORGET THAT AGRI AND INDUSTRIES ARE INTERDEPENDENT. IF THEY GROW IN PROPORTION THE DESIRED RESULT WILL AUTOMATICALLY KNOCK THE DOOR

Yes i agree with tina. But inlation is one of the Economical cycle. in todays situation the inlation rate are going hiht due to some impotant reasons that are given below. 1) 6th pay it increases the incom level& taxes. Because Govt. Make payment from collection of Tax. 2) Bloking or week suply chain Management by Govt. This is again one of the important factor create infletion. 3) Curruption is the Root cause of inflation. Because of curruption Govt not ready to suply Stoked food in market also helps to block the distribution network

If there is WILL, there is a way. Instead of blaming to each other, Better start from yourself, save wastage of food and energy & fuel. ask your friend relatives and every person who is working with you DO NOT WASTE THE FOOD & FUEL without any reason. The day is not far away when we can control the price of food and fuel.CHINA has control each and every thing and one day he will be SUPER POWER OF WORLD. if we have the will power then every thing is possible.

The twin problems of rising prices of food and fuel need a multi-pronged approach from the government. 1. Raise production of both. In case of food, it will become easier if farmers are encouraged to use modern scientific and technological tools with greater eliance on BT -- bio-technology. In the case of fuel, significant oil deposits have been found and both private and public sectors are busily exploring the latest finds. The extraction and refining work needs to be expedited to reduce our dependence on imports. 2. We need to cut down transportation and storage losses in the food sector. Over 30 % food is lost every year because we don't have enough storage facilities. This is unacceptable and the government needs to increase food storage facilities on a war footing. 3. Apart from the usual accesories, our farmers need just two things -- enough supply of water and power. As the Indian power sector is expanding rapidly and impressively, power shortages and outages will become a thing of the past in just three or four years. This will go a long way in beefing up our food security.

I disagree Tina's first suggestion about reducing tax particularly if government opt to reduce money supply. It is irrelivant in indian economic condition. There are large sum of black money. It is contradicting her 3.(Third suggestion).Tax becomes saving instrument(habit in way) rebates are encouraged.Sop may be extended to cooperative societies who can bring cheaper consumables & compale bull run of market to reverse. It is ok to reduce government administrative expense but expense on developement activities are productive to generate employment that in turn can be aimed to add supplier to meet demands.Â

Consumption of fuel is too high we can't think that it will solve out. If Govt. is showing Ad from last 20 years that Use only one vehicle while traveling or go to office in family then we didn't adopted it so far. Status matter here. All the new MNCs or big companies providing transportation facility but with no planning. In short usage or we can say wastage of fuel in its full form. The other problem you have mentioned the food prices:- (1) our economy is growing drastically it is the main reason to increment the prices of foods/goods as purchasing power of money increased. (2) We are obtaining good techniques for agriculture but not looking for agriculture land which is on the way to end due to real estate enhancement. (3) Improper utilization of natural resources so far. (4) Imbalanced economy. (5) Increasing population. (6) Corruption in social activities organised for B.P.L. by Govt. or any other organization/trust. etc etc.. No limits of reasons. AND IF WE DON"T COLLECT THE REASON ONE BY ONE THEN HOW CAN WE THINK TO CONTROL IT?

The food price or fuel price are goes up due to taxes and high expenditure on non planed issues. It proves rude politics and non democretic govering.Other counties are facing high price of fuel but they are not impacting higher taxes. Our leaders follows other nations in taxation but not in refund or scarcity.India can be independent in fuel but political leaders are not in fever.Relience Co.started selling the less 2/-Rs then government advised to same rate means more Rs 2/-per liter. You think is this our government?
