Higher Education + Professional Life, When we will call a person a professional?, not only based on his knowledge rather how he expose his knowledge to the standards set in the profession. Acquiring knowledge never ends, only through Higher Education one can gain the knowledge, confidence and recognition in the profession as well among the professionals.

I would say that the higher education does help in professional life. You cannot expect to know the details of any field without studying it. Without higher education a person can somehow manage but after learning about the subject the progress would be easy and fast. The person will be aware of what is to be done and when.
What a person will learn practically might to how to manage situations on time or how to deal with people, but technical education is must for accuracy and specific development.

Hi,
I would say higher education would always help you in growing personally as well as professionally.
If you are well educated you'll get better job and better pay package.
Your level to understand things and complexity of it would be greater than others.
And if you are not mc educated you might got job but if you talk about promotions and all you will not get it easily.
And just think if education is not of that much use than why we have so many institutions and universities, and so many professional and other courses.
Regards,

What i actually think is that...one must attain higher education in his/her life..than he/she may go for whatever his/her wishes to be ..either job seeker or job giver(entrepreneur). Not everyone is capable of seeking opportunities as our motivational heroes found and proved. With the help of Higher Education one can observe n analysis the direction very cleary which has been chosen by successful entrepreneurs. At last, Without bearing any loss one can learn from mistakes, hurldes faced by them through Higher Education.

Well higher educations might strengthen your theoratical knowledge but at the end which works out is not but your practical knowledge through work experience. An MBA might be knowing what is management but not how to manage where as a manager might not define management but knows verywell how to do that. again to gain knowledge after graduation i think study is required not mandotary higher studies like MBA or Doctarte. Every one can go ahead access lots of Ebooks or libraries to enhance there knowledge if they have a WANT in them to GROW.

I would Professional life over higher education, because it makes me independent. Some amount of basic education is definitely necessary but all other learnings can be gained while working.

Dear Mr Gambhir,
We are debating regarding the requirement of HIGHER EDUCATION not the BASIC part of it!! Bill Gates or Ambani are not the ONLY SUCCESFUL people to quote an example - they are well beyond the limitation of the word SUCCESS!!! There are thousand of people in India itself who have Money, Prestige, Status & things that ALL call SUCCESS, but have not much of HIGHER "degrees".....they are just 'Graduates' or even below!! Some may have acquired 'diplomas' (those after +2 ones) and are at such positions & status that are far higher than those MBAs, Doctors or Engineers. Do you think all MBAs are Managers or Administrators (thats why they took that degree, isn't it?), or all MBBSs or MDs are renowned doctors, or all those BEs are well established engineers?? Any answers any one?

Professional Life relates to the level of success you have achieved in your actual life. In most cases we misinterprete the meaning of the word education - between Academic & Professional Education. Speaking of Higher Education we generally refer to Academic Education. Basic Education in any field is a must to clear the benchmarks for employment. One needs to be Qualified while persuing a particular TECHNOCAL field. But Higher Education has not much to do in one's professional life until he/she persues a career in the field of ACADEMIC Education. A Bank Manager needs not to be a MBA to become so - a simple Graduate can achieve it & can be considered successful in his Professional Life!! Many a renowned personalities do not have much of basic education, leave aside higher education, ane we consider them as successful men in their lives! If higher education was so important, I would not have been here writing this argument!!

If you look in the past these things doen't really matter. Look at the entrepreneurs like Dhirubhai Ambani, Bill gates they havn't completed their basic education also.
