Does it make sense to invest in "highest NAV guranteed schemes"?

So many times we come across that ad, which tempt us to invest in an ULIP with returns linked to highest NAV during a predefined lock in period. Most of the time minimum lock in period is around 7 long years and on top of that this gurantee is available only if you commit your funds for a period of 10 years or so.Futher, fund mangers have complete freedom to allocate the funds from 0-100% between debt, equity and money market instruments.

I believe its worth investing for conservative investors who also wish to have a little flare of equity without loosing capital.

But of course not for those dreaming of high return (may be linked to Sensex or Nifty), as I believe it makes more sense to invest in Pure Equity Fund.

It make sense for those investors who are interested to invest in capital market but not have proper knowledge for the same. and they are investing their money for long term & there are chances for market growth but seem to be aggressive volatility in near future. Whereas they can't invest in the schemes just to see the highest NAV will be paid after 7 years because we can exit anytime if market will grow too much between 3 to 7 years. It means always keep in mind the Entry & Exit time.
