Honda plans foray in pre-owned two-wheelers....

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India plans to foray into the pre-owned two-wheeler segment to sell its own brand to challenge Hero Honda, according to an industry executive directly familiar with the plan.

The fourth largest two-wheeler maker by sales has started a trial study at select dealerships in four major cities including Bangalore, Mumbai and Ahmedabad where abundant Honda products have been sold.

I think they can. Pre-owned cars has a great market in India, and pre-owned two wheelers coming from the maker itself is a good idea, with different set of dealerships altogether for these two-wheelers.  The company seeks to take advantage of about six million Honda two-wheelers that already ply on Indian roads. A total of 50 million two-wheelers run in India, the world’s second biggest two-wheeler market after China.  So, in a country like India pre-owned two-wheeler business makes sense...

I think this will good for Honda and for the huge customers who can't afford racing bikes due to high price, if honda come with his new plan of pre-owned two-wheeler it will really run.....

The potential market is very huge and growing. Also, the availablity of Pre-Owned 2-Wheelers is huge thanks to the termendious sales figures for the past few years. This market will require " Strong Service Based" satrategy as Pre-Owned vehicles in India has poor conditions.

yes its a biggest step put forward by Honda towards its Trustworthy and name created amoung the public. Its a welcome sign for them and its a big deal for Hero group to march towards its succes in future by competing to world class motor bikes manufacturer like Honda, Yamaha,,..Its a heavy competition for the Indian majors also to stand in the market too.It truly measures our ability towards our quality revolution and these allows the opportunity for us to prove to the world as India a major Automotive hub to the world.
