Opportunity araises only at the toughest situations, so it might be the welcoming sign for Hero group to emerge as a world leader and a competer for Honda and other international brands,...

Here again history repeated itself, the same happened with TATA and DAIMLER BENZ jv in 70s.TATA AND DAIMLER had a jv but they parted away and that separation gave TATA an opportunity to stand in commercial vehicle industry ownself. The success of any industry depends on its own work for servival, if HERO (HONDA also)can menage this all alone then this splitting would not affect them much. And yes now, the hero group has to fight hard to mentain same goodwill in high competitive industry in all aspects wheather it's sale, manufacturing, quality ,coustomer satisfaction and R&d. Good luck HERO group.

They will because right now in market there are bikes available with the manufacturing of purely HONDA. But then also there is a large difference in selling quantity between HONDA and HERO-HONDA. So if there exist a misconception that people buy HERO-HONDA only because of HONDA then it is totally wrong.

I dont think so. The brand name of Honda gave Hero motors access not just to a powerful brand name but also to the technical knowhow that Honda posses. How muich of it has been acquired by Hero motors is suspect. Also Hero motors should have had its R&D team in place that would have served as a training ground for their engineers based on honda technology. But since they havent, it would be difficult for them to do so at this stage and build up a viable business to win the peoples confidence.

the expectations of customers are too high ..it depends on quality cause the benchmark set by HERO-HONDA is too high..To come out from this need huge investment in R & d and need to have efficient and talented work force to maintain their quality and image..which is tough to achive..so lets see..cant comment on this right now

"This will be the best example for Quality" If Hero can maintain it all then there will not any problem for Hero

I really don't think so that Hero motors individually will do good, without Honda name, and with increased competition from yamaha, Suzuki and Bajaj in this segment now even Honda are separating from them to add to their woes. So, it will be difficult really for them to do well from here on...even their stocks will get affected. And one big challenge will be to keep its dealer network of 4,500 touch points under control.
