Why are we so very hypocritical? If the same game depicted an incident abroad we would have called it 'street smart' or at worst ignored it. Just because it reflects an incident closer to the heart, how can we call it disrespect. In both cases the game depicts an incident. We, in general, have shied away from the reality of terrorism and have never taken security seriously. Security is an aspect for which every living Indian is responsible, not just the Armed Forces, Para Military Forces and the Police. Do we even follow the law when no one is looking? The word incident used above does not in any way undermine the enormity of the incident.

I believe every person has a right to vent out their feelings in the manner they consider appropriate(ofcourse, till the time they do not end up harming anyone else in the process). Online games are an innocent, harmless way to do the same. Just because a person plays such a game or invents/develops such a game does not mean he/she is inconsiderate of the people who have suffered because of the incident. On the other hand it shows that atleast the person has given some thought and attention to the sufferings and the incident.

Well, According to me, it makes sense in a lot of ways, 1. of course commercial reasons (which in no way means disrespect, unless tey show/do something offensive about my Country, India.) 2. As Prarthana Said, a lot of people around the world has a lot of anger towards these kind of events and wanna let out their frustration in one way or the other, with that emotion, it gives people some level of reliefe and confidence in themselves and about the country as they feel powerful and be able to defeat the terrorists in the game or even in the movies. 3. I am one of the most eager person to know what went inside the hotels and the areas where terrorists were holding hostages and how did they survive for so long. (though i have gone through the discovery channel and NatGeo regarding the documentary on the same on 26/11/09, but still watching it through the eyes of a talented director and an actor which i could connect with and feel that i am the person defeating the terrorists would be an amazing experience as well will be quite revealing and elaborated knowledge to the audience/Government & Police as to how to tackle a few situations in general.) (that said, it in no way means that our defence system is not doing anything towards lifting the standards of the police officers, i still think our officers have a long way to fitness and crisis reaction. and they woudlnt learn unless its interesting, which our government has to understand, or rather our local defence ministry) i strongly feel that, when Ramu had gone to visit the site after our military recovered all the venues from terrorists, media made a big deal out of it, which in a way was wrong and right. - right because its the very next day they had allowed him to go when even the local authorities werent supposed to be interfering with the probable evidences inside. but i would say even the minister who had been visiting there, Mr. Deshmukh, shouldnt have been allowed there. Bloody, these Amaricans do a thorough investigation of the place even before letting any officer inside no matter how big or outreached he is, and we let localites or ministers go there with their guards and etc ??? i mean come on man, what if one of the minister's guards is into terrorist's list of possible/actual informer to them? its the very next day at a crime scene man. it cannot be manhandeled except a VERY FEW authorized personnel. - wrong ina sense that i would like a few directors and story writers to get a feel of the actual crime scene of this horrible event and make an stonishingly detailed story of the same and produce and project and direct it in a fashion where every Indian gets on the edge of their seat and says "Vande Mataram". I loved the movie Border and it was also an event, a war event which was carried out in a fashion which made me excited and so did to everyone else who watched that movie. wouldnt you enlighten the knowledge of the youth about the events that took place in the history of Indian Existence? i would... i would want every Indian around the world to watch this horrific event taking place and make them feel than now is the time to tell our governemtn to OPEN THEIR EYES and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. and not JUST TALK. I support the argument and production of such visuals as long as it doesnt insult My Country, India

Where were the people who are lighting the candles today, when thousands of people died in Gujarat riots few years ago???? There are so many loopholes existing in the system.... Security issues, corruption, rape, and many more... Any idiot gets up in the morning and suddenly decides to become a politician without even giving it a thought as to what will he be doing as a politician and so in such circumstances if people are smart enough to invent such games which is like slapping the authorities, what is wrong????????????????

i don't think inventing a game on mumbai terror attacks is disrespect shown to those who lost there life, in fact its a light way to keep in mind that we have suffered b'coz of security lapses created by ourselves(indirectly we"re the reason why our vigilance system is so corrupt) .games like these will encourage players from ages to fight against extremism and its preparators.moreover, such a game can motivate people to come up with action plans whenever stuck in such a situation instead of being a passive spectator.how long one can survive leaving everything upto govt.asumming responsibilities for ourself as a citizen is the only way to put terror attacks to halt.

Prarthana, thats is very progressive thinking indeed!! I must ask here that people who were blatant about the fact that there was a chimps face superimposed on Mrs. Obama's face on google search image and people eher were very okay with that, why?? (Topic posted here on toostep) Any desecretion of any human being is an offense towards the very living of all human kind... Now when it comes to us... we say that its disrespect?? It is a past .. and ghosts of the past need to be buried and forgetten or they tend to haunt you constantly. Comemorating a day in the life is essential to keep a reminder burning... beyond that.. its being fanatic about it!! Thanks for the referral.

it was a disrespect to make video games on the horror of 26/11 incident which one of the biggest terrorist attack on India. I can understand that gaming is an emerging industry but business should not be done to disrespect the people who were killed in that attack.Todays gaming generation must realize the seriousness of the matter and discard such games, and they should empathize with all the people who lost their dear ones in that incident.Awake, Arise and play the real battle of life and death with the terrorists and defend the nation.

In simplest words this act is similar to what vultures do to the war victims in a battle-field. But then, this is their job and they look at it as an opportunity. They are not humans and so are those who launched this game... or maybe they need awakening.

You can't take smart decisions at the cost of respect for human lives!! And by the way whither goes our value system? To make money (commercialise) out of an event, which is a black-mark in the chapters of world history WHEN INNOCENT PEOPLE WERE FIGHTING THE AMBASSADORS OF TERROR AND DEATH?? Who has given us the right to do that? Releasing frustrations through games is just a rationalisation of the argument. Games are for bringing in positive energy? What positive energy is sought through these, I wonder!!

It is a disrespect but the biggest disrespect is that we learn only after something happens. Earning money using the popularity of the incident is too natural. We're used to corruption in such a way that we don't understand the difference between crime and day to day activities. The fine line of ethics is always missing in our behavior. So, it is nothing special to see people cashing on from a heinous incident. India is one of the most selfish and corrupt nations in the world. The development that has happened in India is all superficial, the reality is far from anything comfortable. In India, the right to live with respect is reserved for the VIPs and powerful people. If you think about common man, they are far from even daring to go for RTI. The Right to information is the Right To Insult in India.
