whoever thought about the 'carbon dioxide in oceans' idea. we're already facing a crisis here: research shows that coastlines all over the world INCLUDING India's will recede by several 100 kilometers over the next 10 years due to ocean temperature. I'm not too optimistic about the trees part either.

I believe that this is the easiest thing we can do to control the CO2 emissions. Plant trees in the tropics to offset the carbon dioxide that we produce. Protect old-growth trees and rainforest as warehouses for carbon and harvest existing forests in a sustainable manner. It also confirms the notion that planting more trees in tropical rainforests could help slow global warming worldwide.

This looks to be the slower process,but an effective one. Because it is advantageous to many other parts like animals rehabilitation, restoring natural beauty. And the cost required to do such wonderful things is much low than what we try to do in artificial way.
