Today everyone tries to change others instead of changing himself. One should change himself and tune up according to the person in front of u. If i started waking up early in the morning my family members will also wake up early but if i insisted them to wake up early and myself did not wake up how will they wake up. So one should change himself. If my wife become angry i should keep quite as if she did not get any response after some time she will become calm. After making her calm problem can be discussed and resolved. This can be applied everywhere. I have been successful in implementing same. I keep smiling and be happy which has made everyone around me happy. so please keep smiling and be happy.

Really ... no idea. Violence ... in_house ? Why tolerate ? In a civilised society, there may not be any place for "violence" inside and outside.

Be brave ... speak out .. come out ... and expose such things. Both the zender/s may the "victim".

Simply lodge an FIR with the Police and ask the counter party for talks/ dialogue/ negotiation.

This is the second step after creating awareness. Being aware does not mean that the victim can protect himself/herself. Domestic issues are related to social status/perception and our society is still very conservative. One may exceed the tolerance level trying to accomodate with domestic violence within the household, and if you are counselling at that, then you are going to be yelled at most of the times. Counselling can be the third step, however, after expressing the support towards the victim. Let us allow the victim to express sufficiently and thoroughlly. The subsequent steps can be decided based on the possibility of reconciliation. IF the possibility is almost zero, then the responsibility to provide justice also lies with this supportive group.

Councelling is very difficult to bring it in to the ground level. Violence mainly caused not to have good confidence about the future mainly unemployment and lack of safety. It should be started from childhood onwards. Yes, if the Parents teach, guide and support the child with good attention and clear path, we can avoid the Violnce in future. Without knowing the indepth reason people take some ideas and fight for that... these are not acceptable. So start it from childhood days. These are lying in New parents hands only.

According to me the only way to reduce violence is by giving counselling. There we can listen to his/her problems and the reason for the violence and tell them a good suggestion

Counselling is one best way to reduce violence.......
