OUR POLITICAL SYSTEM IS LIKE A ROTTEN APPLE AND IF A GOOD APPLE WILL BE KEPT IN THE BASKET IT WILL ALSO GET SPOILT. SO YOUTH MUST COME TOGETHER AND CREATE A NEW SYSTEM THAT IS UNBIASED, NOT CORRUPT AND OVERALL INTERESTS EVERYONE AND SHOULD BELONG TO NONE AND STILL BELONG TO EVERYONE.

Our Politics is taken care by all the people who are above 40 at major level. Its true that Experienced are idealistic. But we should not forget that for good health we need to take fresh vegetables and throw the one which is old. In same ways Youth should given a chance to put their new ideas in politics. Its as simple as that.

Creating a self enforced system of voting to right candidate and not to party. Election system too needs to be revamped.

1) Permit only two candidates/parties to contest

2) Put basic educational requirements for contestants.  Based on this allocation of ministry should be done.  A doctor must be given health ministry, and so on...

3) Qualifying contestant must get min. 50-60% of total voters mandate from constituency OR min 60-80% of actually exercised votes.  This shall honor the choice of majority of people in the area.  Presently a contestant getting 20-25% of total votes becomes a winner.  What about rest 75-80% people who really do not want him as leader?

4) Put retirement age for MP/MLAs

5) Give performance incentives to MP/MLAs

6) Impose fast-track courts to clear courruption cases and baring them for next election, even if not found guilty.

7) Restrict other engagements during the time he is an MP/MLA.  The focus must be on his ministry and its KRAs

8) Once elected, stop any blood and close relatives to contest for next two elections.  This shall help to give chance to others / new entrants.  In Present system politics became a family business.

9) ... aahh ... there could be many such things... A whole new system is required.

First step is "Educate the educated" Unless they come to the poling booths and cast their votes in favour of clean candidates, nothing can change. Remember Janata Party coming to power ? Whole India voted against Congress, such a revolution must come against corrupt politicians.

Our youth has innate potential. They can turn around the scenario very easily. India is put on a centre-stage by our youth who have displayed their competitive edge in the international arena. They were the fore-runners to make India visible in the World Map, and not by our great so-called leaders. They are not interested in wasting their time in entering into politics for a simple reason that they are all busy in wealth-creation for our future generation. With their efforts, they have proved to the world India is the preferred location for many verticals, be it technology, communication, pharmaceuticals, bio-technology, nano-technology, non-renewable sources, etc.

It has to be by creating a new system because being in the system to change it will never happen. It will be the case of one good apple in a basket full of rotten apples. Havent we seen a lot of straightforward and honest politicians made to bite the dust so to say by the system.

So it would be prudent to create a new system that is more transparent, honest and open to to new ideas.

i dnt agree with what Mr Kumar Chiman Sinha says. if it is impossible to make a new system against an estbilshed system then even being in the system will not work because still we are against the same system whom we are calling our parents. so we have to find out new ways to change the system.

we have to make our people aware about the development and growth of our country because most of the people in our country thinks what they will get and either supports the system of opposes it. we need to make them understand that the growth of the country will lead to their development as well.

If a system hasn't been able to throw up any viable solution in over 6 decades then there's something drastically wrong with the system. Surely, it's our environment that makes us what we are. And who created this environment? We, of course. So it's high time that we introspect and find out why we haven't been able to measure up in such basic areas as attaining 100% literacy, affordable healthcare for all our countrymen especially those in the rural areas, and a waste management system based on advanced recycling methods?

It's easy to see where the rot lies. It's in our rural areas. That's where all the poor and destitute come from and we all know why. They have been cheated repeatedly over the ages and even after independence. If you look at urban poverty, it is nothing but our brethren from the rural areas who comprise over 90% of the urban slums. Ask them and you'd know that even they don't want to live so miserably but have no choice. So, everything is wrong in the rural areas. And the epicentre of all the ills and evils of this mess in the rural areas is the office of the district collector.

It's time to change the structure of the district administration with a system that is democratic like we have at the union and state levels. the office of the district collector comes in the way of this much needed democratization. Nothing will ever change as long as the office of the district collector is not abolished and replaced by a democratic institution that will be accountable to the people of the districts at the cutting edge level.

Whatever be the argument, the fact is that we need drastic change in the system. But, targeting the youth while making policies is not very wise. Youth is also  part and parcel of the society. It is a process. It is in perpetuity, some thing fresh and new is to be evolved keeping all parts    (viz.,children, youth, women, old and the like) of the society in mind. The balanced approach evolved will help the society(including the youth) in whole.

The existing system is of no use, it is fundamentally wrong. So the youth entering politics should develop a new system where all the problems will be solved. I think the present system is a big barrier for our growth, so instead of wasting time in correcting we can develop a new system !!!

The system is perfectly alright. But the people who are operating the system are bad and allowing the system to be operated like this are bad. If the four estates work properly there is nothing like that. Now Every one of us are writing our arguments but unable to come to a common platform to rise our voice. can we have arrange so platform and do some thing for the nation. For this it is not necessarity youth only need to be involved. every body can be involved. With a simple concept that law must be a martial law and quick. Let hundred people die for the right cause. During Independence though we call it as Ahimsa satyagraha, how many people have not lost their life so let us sacrifice. I am not saying life but some time and bit of money (very small) to change the society for our self

The main problem in current system is that there is no clear responsibilities assigned to any one. The best solution would be before assigning any ministry/role/profile, there should be clear cut roles/responsibilities defined from Cabinet minister till peon level. Before assigning any task/funds, full responsibilities should be assigned to persons & keep an hawks eye over progress/expenditure. I believe IT prowess shall come handy in handling such tasks. If anybody found guilty, strict laws (not 100 yrs old) should be in place with very heavy penalties & punishment proportionate to offense/scam. The way corporate world works today should be taken as example. Youth can help in achieving this quite easily, but it requires large level support & coordination.

I am sure that everyone will agree that our existing political system stinks. The stench indicates the presence of rot and the rot is not confined to any one party. It is generated by those part of the system and propagated by passive spectators and their indifferent attitude. It is not because the system was faulty but because it was abused. The health of any system in any nation reflects the health of its citizens. If our political system is corrupt it follows that we are corrupt. It is complicated because we as a nation are complicated people. We have accepted diversity and multireligious-multilingual existence as a way of life.To root the rot out, it is imperative that we join the system so as to pinpoint the source of rot. No system in totality is bad so the areas which need to be modified or changed altogether have to be identified. This is possible only if we know it intrinsically. If the areas are many then many will be changed and eventually it will evolve a system much different from the existing. The process has to be a step by step procedure. The political system is a vital organ and therefore there cannot be any quick fix solution.

Thanks Tina for inviting again,

Just as we all know "Charity begins at home", similarly "Policy formulation, implementation and adherence to it, also begins at home". So (in the scenario of home) do we try to change our 'family system' to formulate and implement some new and good values/ practices within the family environment; definitely not! We try out various methods/ strategies by staying within the family. Had we not undertaken this way of practice (by nature) a major disaster in the social environment would have been inevitable.

This nation of ours is also a family.....a LARGE FAMILY; so to keep it functioning smoothly without creating chaos we need to implement the formulated good policies strategically by staying within the system and adhering to the new policies.

Every new idea takes some or the other time for implementation, adoption and access. For long term benefit better remain in the existing system and try the best to make suitable changes.Parivartan is the other name of the world.Go for the ledger system in banks that were banned with the advent of computers long back.People at that time reacted bad but now the same people when asked to again go for the ledger system they will deny and may even run away.A system may be new but unacceptable for few for some time which gets the shape of common use after some usage,,,

comeon Tina, by merely changing the system you will not achieve anything, let alone solve our problem.  Yes, I'm highly optimistic abt today's youth even jealous to some extent, as they r well informed, lot of opportunities in various fields r available to them & good achievers.

There r no good system or bad system, a good system over a period of time may not stand as good one. Any system present or New should be monitored regularly for loop holes & just plug it & move on. No system is foolproof.

As all of us know that a UID system is in process with a big bang introduced stating that it will helpful to identify the below poverty line people for social security schemes like NREGS,ration, etc, A recent newspaper report says that, when the census staff went to village to record their Thumb Impression, due to very thinline on their Thumb,as they were so weak. Iris impression cld not register due to formation of cataract. Whats the use of yr New System.  Can't we identify & help them with the existing system? you may argue that to avoid get cheated but whats the guarantee with yr new system? when it cannot register their thumbline & iris for identification, u push them out.

To my opinion the first and foremost principle we all have to cultivate is to get away from the blame game.

If someone takes a bribe, then the problem lies only with the person who takes bribe??  is there no problem with the one who is ready to give?

Change is good if it happens within ourselves first.  Before we get ready to blame someone, let's see whether we are also part of the same mistakes in purview of the locality we are in.

The moment we realize our own actions and activities seriously, then we would start changing.

When the individual changes, the family changes.

the family changes, the community changes.

the community changes, the state changes.

the state changes, then the country changes.

Let's see how each of us can change for the better.

There is merely a chance of argument about being with the system or creating a new system.  Creating a new system means you are going against the system which is probable not possible against a well established system. How can we go against our parents? So being in the system and try to change the system

Any risk can be contained with proper consulations. If the youth takes new intiatives which are consulted with and well thought about, then there are more chances for the decisions to be more effective.

The conflict will come only when the decisions are based purely on one's personal experiences, feelings and whims and fancies.

Dr. Ambedkar did not write the consitution of India just in one night.  And he also did consult the British on quite a lot of topics.

There are no arguments.  Only feedback.  As individuals, no one is perfect and no one is well informed.  When you point out a issue then the other needs to correct.

It's all our choice.  If we think we are arguing, then we are arguing.  If we think we are brainstorming for a common goal, then the results achieved will also be better.

However, first and foremost thing would to realize that we need some changes and we are discussing about the same.  The brainstorming will always has to bring out better results provided the minds are in harmony.

We, have a hormonic  mind that we realize we need a change.

So, let's go over that.

It is not very difficult to change the system, while you are a part of it. Just consider this ……… in every election, the voter turnout is close to 50%. That means the direction of the system is being decided by only half of the eligible people. Interestingly, the people who do not vote are the people like us, who consider it to be a waste of time. The result …… only 15% (30% of 50% PEOPLE WHO VOTE) of eligible population decides the fate of the system. Once we all start to vote, and we vote on merits and demerits …… the system will definitely change !!!!

There are lots of personnel with not so good appearance in their body.  However, they change it only by looking into the best available and accordingly they change themselves and their status.

If you feel like changing an apple, then how do you relate the above situation.  The existing system has been imbibed in our culture for so long that changing it totally is possible only on discussions.  However, in reality, and looking into the practicality, it is almost impossible.

Be with the system, see where and what all can we better and change things for better.

This could be only the way.

every word that we use and every thought that perpetrates in our mind is a trivial consequence of a system. A system that we most naturally adopt and develop because of our own actions,.

The concept of 'freedom' is as dubious to the 'citizen' as the monsoons for the Indian farmer. Hence, he believed in self-help and co-operation. He was a man with limited means and a reputation of India being an "agrarian economy" was to be maintained.

The  principles of Self-help and co-operation took over his 'system' and gave birth to the successful cooperative enterprise system... WITHIN THE SYSTEM.

However, this system did fall prey to individual desires and how!

with the success of the enterprise and the failure of distributing the returns to farmers, it got clear that the biggest issue people have in this world is- people.

All the people in this world are prospective issues for our humble individual. So that our individual can be a parasite and suck the offerings of another human being. masked or unmasked, the principle of business is profits. and more profits. at any cost. but it has to be cheap. a sense of pride and accomplishment at the failure of your co-employee...

this perceived by me as a Neanderthal-ic approach to what is clearly not LIFE... could be an existence, exist to work for a rich-f**k.

The Youth today better not feel that way. perhaps for their own good. A co-operative is started by people with limited economic means. The co-operative is managed by the members who also own it and thereafter, render goods, services or both.

Famous co-operative enterprises are

AMUL, Mother Dairy, IFFCO, Coop-tex, lijjat papad, Nafed etc... These seem to me as irreplaceable brands.

The clan of people that fits this bill perfectly is the student community of India.

They come from various towns to the cities to pursue their education and are blessed to be born in a country that respectfully kept the language. that has also nurtured it and included it as the medium of education(rapid growth in learning English).

A cooperative Press if started by our youth in the universities of cities, where they collect 'tabloid-worthy' campus news and views on our system from the youth around, could mean we empower our youth with the freedom of thought... EXPRESSED FREEDOM OF THOUGHT AND SPEECH.

They could print this on newsprint and sell it for the bare minimum price and have guaranteed readership with students as they paper is about them and their fellow mates. The cooperative would end up earning through advertisements and other sources that a tabloid thrives on, but the youth would get the idea of independence, responsibility and power.

They could use all this wisely and further the system to the ultimate goal of no-system.
